We stayed for one night at the Hotel Marblehead and were very happy with our accommodations. Our room #3 was on the first floor close to the lobby. It was clean and adequately sized. The mattress and pillows were exceptionally comfortable.|Breakfast was included with choices such as fresh summer berries, Greek yogurt, granola, oatmeal packets, plain and chocolate croissants, coffee, orange juice, and cranberry juice. There were tables inside and outside for enjoying our meal. We also appreciated the location of the hotel which was a short 0.60-mile walk to Devereux Beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Upon check-in, we informed the staff that our remote did not adjust the volume and the TV was extremely loud. She told us we could use the TV on mute if it was too loud for us. When my husband refused to accept that solution, she came back with a new remote and set it up. So clearly, they knew it was an issue, knew there was a check-in, and just decided they didn't want to deal with it.|There is no clock, coffee maker, or microwave in the room. There was a coffee maker directly outside the room where we could listen to everyone get their morning coffee. |The room was also right next to reception and the front door, so we were able to listen to anyone in the lobby or coming in in the middle of the night. There was a pocket door inside the room that helped muffle some of the noise.|Aside from one very friendly employee, they would not even look up from their phones or whatever they were doing to say hello or acknowledge you in any way unless you spoke to them first.|On our last day while we were showering and dressing before check-out (11AM), at just before 10AM, an employee used a key to let herself into our room, despite the "do not disturb" sign on the door and without knocking or explanation as to why she was entering our room before check out.|To add insult to injury, we were charged $60 over the total we were given from Booking.com. Booking.com is useless, and the hotel refuses to honor the total price we were given from booking.com. Their excuse is that the tax rate changed. We were never informed of the change of given the opportunity to cancel our reservation based on the fact they knew they weren't going to honor the price we were quoted. I've begun a dispute with my CC company. |In addition, the hotel is not close to anything, and parking is scarce in Marblehead.

We had a lovely one night stay in JUNE 2024. Communication from the proprietor was always quick, friendly, and professional. We stayed in room #1 on the first floor, which is an ADA room with a queen bed and private patio. The mattress was SUPER comfortable and the sheets VERY high quality! We slept like babies with a full belly. Breakfast was continental, but of very high quality. NOT your typical American continental breakfast. Fresh local fruit salad, with mounds of blackberries, raspberries and blueberries, homemade blueberry bread, thick yogurt, juices, and really GREAT coffee. (Atomic Roasters) We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Rooms were clean. There was no place in shower stall to place soap or shampoo aside from the shower floor. A comfortable chair would have been welcome rather than a small kitchen table and 2 kitchen chairs. Breakfast was extremely disappointing: no hot options - cereals, toast or eggs. Overpriced.

I can’t believe the positive reviews. This place was awful, the worst “hotel” in my entire adult life. It’s nothing but a rooming house. The room was dreary, so tiny there was no place to lay our suitcases, furnished with the cheesiest stuff imaginable and a dirty carpet. The radiator had the room at about 80º and it would not turn off. It was uninhabitable. The desk clerk was a young lady who had no idea what to do, so said to turn on the window air conditioner to normalize the temperature. She didn’t know where to find additional hangers (there were only three in the closet). There was no safe in the room for valuables. The night stand was a cheap mini fridge. They didn’t even put a bottle of water in it. The bathroom had awful fixtures — a terrible plastic mirror and useless lighting, single sink vanity with no counter space, a toilet paper holder that toppled over when touched. There was no place to put anything. We couldn’t turn the light on in the bathroom without the loud exhaust fan screaming at us. We went to dinner to think things over and got back about 8:30. We couldn’t ask to see other rooms rooms because the clerk had left, and nobody was there. We packed up and left, did not stay the night. Horrible, distressing experience. I’ve known Marblehead for over 30 years and I am embarrassed this place could give visitors such a bad impression of this town. We paid for four nights in advance and they refunded none of it.

This boutique hotel is a real gem. It is very clean, the pillows are great (big plus for me), the front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. The fresh breakfast was fantastic! It included fresh fruit salad, two types of homemade muffins, yogurt, granola, and delicious coffee. Everything was delicious! The king suite is nicely decorated and comfortable. The bathroom is roomy and clean and includes everything you need. Big plus for the walk-in shower.|There is a beautiful gathering area that includes a fireplace and comfortable seating. Many people took advantage of this space. The only reason I didn’t give this hotel five stars was because it is noisy. In an old home like this one, it would be quite difficult to make it otherwise and both nights we were there groups were up too late in the evening in the gathering area for our liking.|I will definitely stay there again.

Disappointing! Boutique???? How???? Just a gimmick word. We enjoyed the exterior of the building and the bedding was clean, however the furnishings by most people’s standards would be considered cheap; especially at this price point. Let’s not even go there about the lack of hospitality by some, not all, but most of the staff. That was the deal breaker. On the last day there was no breakfast at all! Our travel schedule was planned around this as we needed to be on the road no later than 8:30 am. Bottom line, this was not a typical bed and breakfast experience (if you can call it that).

Rooms were very clean, bed was comfy, and the service was great. However, the room was stark with no amenities, and definitely not the quaint romantic setting we were expecting or read about in reviews. It is ok for a one night getaway but was disappointing and we probably would not return.

Simply the best Greek food I’ve ever had! The appetizers; octopus, cauliflower, zucchini chips and the fried cheese were super good. You must try the lamb shank. It was delicious. Dessert was amazing too. The service was amazing.

Very scenic spot located directly opposite Marblehead Lighthouse at opening to Marblehead Harbor. The fort is what remains of the earthworks, plus a bunker not currently open to the public (doors are open, but gated you can peek in) Some nice spots

Best meal EVAH! First time here and we will definitely be back. Loved the Thai soup made with coconut milk and chicken along with bang bang shrimp. Then grilled rack of lamb and spicy beef dishes.

I visited this place as I have family in the area. Incredible is the only way to describe this place. Amazing food, great prices, and Tom is THE MAN! We had a feta and pepperoni pizza. The crust is like nothing I have had anywhere. The crust was crip

Having lived in Wakefield and enjoyed being within walking distance of that location, we were excited to see they had a Marblehead location after we moved to Salem. Hubs bday choice was to try them out:) On January 17th. It was a dark slow Tuesday
