The Hotel Huntington Beach - Hotel in Huntington Beach - 7667 Center Ave, USA

Hotel rooms are being renovated. Inconvenient but decent stay at this hotel. Had to change rooms FOUR times on the same floor because rooms were either defective (phone in room not working and door handles coming off in bathroom) or ants in the rooms. The fourth room was on a different floor with an upgrade( microwave and refrigerator) and completed from the remodel. The lobby is very clean and staff was very welcoming and quick to fix my accommodations to better my stay. The hotel restaurant/bar was very nicely decorated and delightful drinks to sip on with a full bar. Once changed rooms that were not renovated or had ants I enjoyed my stay. Also great location near newly built Costco, the beach and Main Street for eateries and activities.

Rooms were way below expectations from the pics online and what we expected. The beds were springy and pretty firm I prefer softer and more cushioned. The walls were chipped and gauged the vanity was falling a part and literal grapes came up from very slow drains. The halls had chips and scratches and the carpet was held down by duct tape. The good parts were the front staff and location. We stayed for convenience of already paying but will be looking for other options next round even if a bit farther from our venue.

Our local women's group held their 50th anniversary SPECIAL EVENT celebration at the Hotel Huntington Beach yesterday. We are 190 members and about 80 of us attended the event, which was planned with the AMAZING SUPPORT of Chris at the venue. The team was SO GRACIOUSLY HELPFUL with our decorations requests and our planner (who seeks out the high end and has a meticulous attention to the detail) was VERY IMPRESSED. Today, the day after the event, I am receiving email after email saying how delicious the food in the buffet was. If you are planning an event and like free parking, a great freeway-local location, and a team of seasoned professionals who really care about the success of your event, but do not nickel-and-dime the planner for everything, reach out to Hotel Huntington Beach. We will be back, and we hope, Chris, you receive recognition for a job really well done. THANK YOU!!!

I was pretty disappointed in our stay here. We only stayed two nights. The rooms felt dirty and dingy. The paint is chipping off of the wall, the outlet is falling out of the wall, the bathroom walls were dirty which really grossed me out. My husband turned on the shower and it wouldn't drain. We asked that they fix it because it was gross and it was slightly better when we came back but still was not draining well. I was too grossed out to shower there. Overall, the staff were really nice and the location is great, I just wish it was cleaner.

This hotel needs major renovation but, it was cheap. The hallway smelled horribly of cigarette smoke though the room i was in (non smoking) was fresh smelling. The AC would not get very cold even when I lowered to 60, the lowest setting. The bathroom had a barndoor slider style which was hard to close. When inside the room there was no grab bar to open and close it. The toilet had such low pressure it took multiple tries to flush. The cheap shower curtain was not long enough or wide enough leaving a lot of water that sprayed onto the floor. No way to hang clothes in my room. Tried to call the front desk, no dial tone on the old phone by the bed. I tried the gym which was very sparse. The treadmill didnt work great and stopped suddenly causing me to fall. I stayed here instead of the Brand name hotel I normally stay at when I travel because it was a hundred dollars cheaper. I kind of regret it…

We were on the 8th floor. The fridge and microwave were great it helped alot. I dont know if its like this for all the units but we had an insanely loud air conditioner. It was difficult to sleep with the air conditioner on. There was no fan in the washroom, so everytime you would take a shower it would fog up. The curved shower rod was good but they need to have shower curtains that are wider so that the water stays in the tub. The water pressure of the shower was great. The room was spacious, just wish the pillows were supportive. The staff were nice and somewhat accommodating. There were a few weird things though: it was posted on a sign that the gym was supposed to be open at a certain time but its never open at that time and when we reserved the hotel through our travel agent, it said on the paperwork that the checkout time was 1pm but the hotel would not honor that. The cleaning ladies were great, very efficient, the only thing is they didn't seem to have a consistent schedule. Be sure to ask for the door hanger that says "Please clean room" on one side and "Do not disturb" on the other side, apparantly only some rooms have both. The reason that is important is if you happen to be in the room when the cleaning lady comes by if they dont see the door hanger that says 'Please clean room' and they hear the tv on they may just skip your room. The location was good, its right across the street from Bella Terre and Old World but the place is so run down, the breakfast was way overpriced for what it was and there is just so much under utilised space.

I flew into John Wayne Airport for a quick trip and needed a hotel for one night. I stayed at the Hotel Huntington as it was convenient to the 405. Thus, the hotel was cheap and nice, but it seemed they didn't have the Stagg to run it. There was no one downstairs when we arrived and people waiting to check in. The restaurant was only open Tuesday through Saturday and very dark as in lights. Overall, it is still a nice quiet stay for the night and walking distance to food, coffee, and shops. The beds had some stains on it and he rooms were OK clean, but smelt a little old. Lol.

Not what I expected at all. Hotel is very dirty, paint coming off the walls, very thin walls. Hair all over bathroom not clean at all. Stains all over carpet. The hotel rooms are very outdated and made me feel very uncomfortable. No tv channels worked. Tub leaks all night. Door handles are half way off doors. Beds are horrible and mattresses need to be replaced along with all the bedding, pillows, sheets. It’s all disgusting. Stepping into the room I feel disgusting and dirty. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I’m afraid to get into the pool, it looks horrible. Dirty not sanitary. Two pluses. Front desk staff is very nice, and the location to shopping and dinning is very convenient.
