Enjoyed Christmas dinner with my sister. Food and service was very good, main course was tasty but small. However was disappointed that they have discontinued their Christmas Day buffet that we've previously attended for many years. That was a wonderful event !!!

First time at the Hotel Hershey and it will not be our last! Very clean, staff was friendly, and food was amazing. Had dinner at Harvest which has pool tables and a clean arcade for the kids. Had breakfast buffet in the circular room. Valet had our car ready and warmed up by the time the bellhop came down with our bags. Kids enjoyed the pool and I was pleasantly surprised 2 lifeguards were always on duty. We will definitely return next time for a summer get away so we can use the outdoor pool.

This was our first stay at The Hotel Hershey. We decided to book it for the Christmas season to see the holiday decorations and to also take in the Sweet Lights drive through experience nearby.||Our two-night visit was mixed. Staff members were excellent, attentive, and pleasant. The hotel is beautiful and the holiday decorations were quite attractive but not over the top. The fountain lobby was nicely decorated with a large Christmas tree and many poinsettias.||Our third-floor room was on the small side but was nicely appointed with fine linens on the comfortable king bed and in the bathroom. Housekeeping staff members were also excellent.||Our main issue centered on our room’s location. It was right above the loading dock for the hotel. We were rudely awakened very early in the morning by back-up alarms, deliveries, unloading of bottles, loud voices, etc. The first morning was worse and the second seemed a bit better but still noisy around 6:00 am. We mentioned this issue upon check out and the front desk staffer said he would note on our portfolio for the next time to locate us in a different room. (Unfortunately, unlike rooms in some European countries in urban areas and train stations, this room had no sound proofed windows or other means to keep the room quiet.)||Our reservation package which included breakfasts and dinners was quite expensive. So, our two-night stay was mixed with some positives and one big disappointment.

This is a great spot for a milestone birthday. We celebrated my wife's birthday this January and this hotel was the perfect choice. Even in the winter months when many of the seasonal attractions like Hersheypark are closed, there is so much to do. It is also great to experience this hotel in the winter when everything is less crowded and more laid back.

My recent experience at The Hotel Hershey was disappointing. I understand the hotel is 90+ years old, but I would assume the 5-star rating makes this a top-notch hotel and it was not. The only thing that made this stay a 5-star rating was the level of customer service from the staff. Everyone (including staff at Trevi, The Circular Dining Room, drivers, registration desk, meeting room staff, etc.) truly did an outstanding job and have been well-trained. However, the hotel itself is showing its age and you would think the money Hershey makes could go into a few upgrades, but here are my take-a-ways:||1. Charged extra for business wifi in meeting room, but hotel wifi had JUST been upgraded and the guest connection had better band width than the business wifi we were charged extra to use. Didn't even use the business wifi since it was slower than the guest. |2. Guest rooms were outdated (maybe the appeal of a 90-yr old hotel?) and the wall paper was peeling, molding was dingy, vanity mirrors were rusty and a light was out (see attached pictures). Since the lights were not LED, it was not very bright with only the 1 light over the mirror. I arrived to the room after a full day of meetings, then had to get ready for dinner, so no time to call maintenance, but would have assumed this is a level of detail a 5-star hotel would notice?|3. Our meeting room did not have heat upon arriving at 7:30am. I guess another drawback of a 90-year hotel. As mentioned earlier, the staff was phenomenal and even brought space heaters in until everything was fixed. The maintenance staff was aware prior to our arrival and had already started to work on the problem.|4. Business bathrooms were clean, but only 3 of the 4 sink soap dispensers worked and had soap. The bathrooms were not busy, so it was not an issue, but had to use each sink to figure out which one had a working soap dispenser. Also the paper towel dispenser was grimey (see attached photo). Again, for a 5-star rating, I would expect better.||Everything you need is at this resort. The amenities and service are great, but I was a little disappointed in the level of up-keep.

I only visited the Hotel, I did not spend the night. I went to see the Christmas decorations. The building, property, and location are all beautiful. The Hotel sits on a hill and overlooks the area around Hershey. There are several gift and snack shops within the Hotel where you can purchase small items or snacks. They also have a restaurants. It seems like it would be a wonderful place to stay.

This is a gorgeous hotel with a warm and welcoming staff. We ate at the restaurants and took advantage of the spa. I can’t think of a single negative thing to say. A wonderful little time out for my girlfriend and me. We had a great experience at the spa.

I have stayed at this hotel repeatedly throughout the years but felt compelled to write a review after this weekend’s stay. Paid for a deluxe king room ($600 and $700 a night, respectively). It was an older room and had an odor about it that was noticeable upon opening the door. There was no bathtub and the front desk said we could not be switched despite needing a bathtub for our child. Went to the circular dining room for breakfast and was told I could not wear a hat (for reference it was a Burberry cap). There is no rule posted anywhere that guests can see, and we literally sat next to a table of people wearing PAJAMAS. Normally I wouldn’t be bothered but I was wearing the hat because I have a terrible rash due to mold exposure (in fact, we were at the hotel because we had to leave our home for mold remediation). The manager or assistant manager (blonde woman) brought myself and my family into the restaurant and said nothing, and then had one of her staff come over to scold me. While they made an exception and said I could keep it on, the whole ordeal was absolutely humiliating. Thankfully we had a lovely server (Rose!!) who tried to make up for the embarrassment. We have stayed at some of the nicest hotels in the world-this is not how you treat guests!
