The exterior of the building makes it seem like a high end facility, but the actual halls and rooms are so old. Old carpet, old doors, old tile. The pillows are basically sacks of cotton balls and some of the towels were literally tattered. It seemed clean and safe but it is not somewhere I would stay again if there are other affordable options. Also not somewhere to stay if you like hanging out in the rooms during the day—just a sleep and go vibe. It’s next to the gondola if people are into that.
This is a bad hotel. It is worn, in bad need of a total renovation. In our room, the fridge was extremely loud, and so was the heater. The temperature reading on the heater unit was about 10 degrees off. The bedding is straight out of the 80s with a thin blanket and even thinner spread. The breakfast is sparse. Bread, only bagels, only cream cheese no jelly or spread. Vending machine on the floor was out of order. There used to be a cafeteria in the lobby area but it is permanently closed which does nothing to improve the look of the hotel. The staff is clueless and not up to the task. Stay someplace else.
Do not waste your money! This is usually my go to and I will bot stay here again. Mommy daughter weekend and it was horrible. The staff is all young and spend the entire shift on their cell phones. The cleaning crew didn't sweep or mop out for for any of the 4 days we were there and It was dirty. I swept on myself on day 3. They didn't change our sheets at all and the ones we did have made my daughter and I both itchy. They didn't clean the tub before we got there because there was bathtub scum from the previous guest. Their is not a single professional person in this place and it's very sad I won't be able to come back. So disappointing after so many previous good experiences!
The WORST hotel experience our family has ever had. I hope this review saves somebody the expense of staying at this disgusting establishment. For over $300 a night, customers need to demand a higher level of customer service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
We chose this hotel because of how well the website advertised the water park. We have two young boys (8 months and 3 years). Our oldest was so excited to go swimming. The swimming pool is an absolute disgrace, and honestly a public health nightmare. It appears that it hasn’t been properly cleaned in decades. The pool tiles were so filthy that people have etched their names in the grime. Even obscene messages including “I want pus*y” can be found around the pool (zoom in on attached photos for better detail). Hair, bugs, mucus, and who knows what else is floating around in the water.
The rooms are incredibly subpar, and the breakfast is laughable. Management makes themselves conveniently unavailable to address patrons concerns. How this hotel has earned over 4 stars is inconceivable. Save your health and pocketbook and stay anywhere else.
Positive: The employees who worked here were very nice and helpful. The location was fantastic. Walking distance to the gondola to take you to the adventure park. The pool and hot tub were nice. Negative: This hotel was like staying at grandma's house. The furniture in the rooms were old. The room was small. The room had stained carpet and a saggy mattress. This hotel needs some love inside the rooms.
This is a lovely, historic hotel in a good location, well decorated for the holidays. We were in a suite room with nice views. It was a last-minute reservation and we couldn't have been more pleased. We've recommended it to family and friends.
This hotel was very nice. The breakfast was a little sad. It did not include any hot foods. The rooms were nice, though. We did not use the pool, but it looked very nice as well. Parking was easy, and we saw bighorn sheep the morning we left right outside the hotel. The location was great. We went to the Iron Mountain Hot Springs while we were there and Tequila's restaurant.
This place is grate. We where able to take our dog and it worked out well. The room was nice but lacked a table so we would go to the dinning area to eat takeout and play cards which was really nice. We where also able to make tea and hot coco after hours. They where so welcoming. There was an area to take the dog outside to relive itself. Breakfast was nice with lots of options. The room was roomy. We did have a problem with someone else’s dog barking but we reported it and they took care of it right away. It was a lovely place to stay.

Great location for family visit without car rental willing to walk a couple of blocks. Came in on Amtrak and half of us went skiing and with a quick call to shuttle to Sunshine picked up right at lobby. Other half went to amusement park and gondolas
These guys do a great job of stocking hard to find items for hunting, items I canât even find in ANY of the big box stores between Salt Lake City and Grand Junction. Itâs also great to support local, and if youâre bowhunter, they have an indoor
Great way to start an early birthday celebration! David was awesome and chose some shots for us that were so delicious. It's dog-friendly and you can bring in food from elsewhere. Love supporting our local craft distillers!
Perfect place for a stay in Glenwood Springs! Close to everything, also safe and quiet. Super cozy, but I can't say enough about the VIEW. We stayed in the Colorado suite and it was the best view to wake up to in the mornings. Make sure you stop by D
We really enjoyed the hike! Beautiful- enough of a challenge, but not so difficult that someone that doesn't always hike can't do it. We hiked it in comfortable shoes, and jeans. My husband carried our 9 month old on his back just fine. We are fairl

Fantastic place for summer butterflies. See my photos. I was here once before, about 8 years ago. It's had a burn since then, but according to the patriarch of a local family I met on hike (and the scenery confirmed) it has recovered nicely. It is po
A little crowded at times, but worth the trip. Take the time to walk under the falls, itâs a unique experience. The trail easy a relatively easy hike.
My favorite combination of low key and nice dinner. You canât go wrong with the short rib and the calamari. The specials are typically a strong item as well. Oh and also the chicken lollipops are great. Come as a family dinner or a nice dinner with
