As we are we're looking for a place to eat, a local told us about this place. We dined but did not stay here. We arrived and we glad we did not need reservations, although the host did inform us most nights guests need a reservation. We were seated in dining room and immediately greeted by wait staff. Wine and cocktail menu was great and paired well with our chicken parmesan meals.
We will return.
The food is spectacular. The service is just as spectacular, be prepared to spend some time here, they do not rush you at all. Enjoy the experience.
I did not stay at the hotel, but I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant there, The Ridge. It exudes the warmth and care - and cleanliness - of a family- owned-and-operated establishment. Every course of our meal was absolutely delicious, well-prepared and well-presented.
Menu pricing is very reasonable, especially for the quality and amount of food one is served. My adult niece and I were there for her birthday, and there wasn't a thing to disappoint. Our wait-person and host, John, was excellent: welcoming and friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and engaging. His persona and unhurried demeanor added much to our enjoyment of a most relaxing evening.
Reservations are recommended; seating, of course, is limited due to mandated covid restrictions, and the restaurant is presently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The owners and staff continue to take all appropriate steps/precautions to provide a safe and very satisfying dining experience.
We did a quick get away weekend with friends and booked the hotel just going by the pictures on their website. We love staying at older historic places and let me tell you, we were absolutely ecstatic when we walked into our rooms. They are gorgeous! The new owners have been refurnishing since Oct of 2018 and doing a great job. Beautiful furniture, new paint and Plenty of extra linens! The staff is as nice as can be. Erin at the front desk was very helpful in assisting us with any questions we had. The restaurant staff was exceptional. We plan on going back in the fall!!!
