The Homestead Restaurant & Tavern - American restaurant in Merrimack - 641 Daniel Webster Hwy, USA

I've been here several times in the past couple of months, by myself, with another and as an extended family. All times were in different locations and for different reasons and all times were very enjoyable. The food was always delicious and the employees have all been very pleasant. (The wicked hot girl I go with doesn't hurt either ;) )

I had the steak tips and my husband had the half chicken. Both were excellent. Service and live music were great. We are 40 minutes away, but worth the drive and will be back. Went back tonight and purchased the same dinners. They were both excellent.

Absolutely love this place..fire place seating is perfect for a chilly day. Atmosphere is amazing..super welcoming and beautiful old memorabilia all over the walls. Was almost like a museum of sorts. Really cool old stuff. Really love this place and I will go back. The steak and cheese spring rolls and stuffed mushrooms were AMAZING!!! They also had specials because of a football game..really good prices.

We each got 1 alcoholic beverage and 2/3 were not good. Prime rib meal - OK, Filet Mignon - horrible flavor, hard chucks of fat & looked like cheap pot roast meat, & Chicken/Broccoli Alfredo (GF) - the sauce was watery, horrible flavor, and the chicken was not cooked well. Even with only a few bites taken, the alfredo meal was actually thrown up 2 hours after eating and sick the next day. Salad was yummy, bread was good but the butter was gross. The restaurant is beautiful & great service. Too bad the food is so bad. We will never go back.

Out bartender was super nice and friendly. The food was good but the chicken in my wrap was very dry. It has the potential to be delicious, just a little overcooked. The cheeseburger was delicious. Perfectly cooked! Definitely very quiet for a Saturday afternoon but cozy.

We love this place. Never had a bad meal. Waiter Nate was fantastic. Very attentive , polite and courteous. Wish everyone was like he was. Turkey panini was very good. Tater tots nice crunch. My husband had a nice rack of ribs which he enjoyed. Even the garden salad was very tasty with the house vinaigrette.

We were a group of 6, very friendly service, but a little slow. Nice and clean environment. The food was ok but nothing special for the price. My drink looked really nice but tasted horrible and my food was Luke warm. My husbands steak was dry. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.

Excellent restaurant! Upstairs has a wonderful atmosphere- you’ll have to see for yourself. The appetizers are always delicious and they have great happy hour.
