Brunch at The Hive was delicious! We ordered three dishes for the four of us and ate family style. The shrimp & grits were my favorite. One person said the chicken and waffles were the best they ever had. The third dish was the mushroom omelette. Can’t wait to go back and tackle the menu. Every dish that came out of the kitchen looked amazing!
Solid food choices. Something for everyone. Hope they keep making new homemade sauces to accompany their dishes. I didn't quite find one I was into, but I appreciate the effort. (I love a good ranch with a lot of dill.) We tried the French toast, brisket hash, and the fried chicken sandwich. All were tasty.
The atmosphere of this place was great. We didn't have reservations on a Sunday and waited for 30 min for a table. Coffee and brunch drinks were good. What took the most time was the food. Once sat and ordered, it took almost 25 minutes to get the coffee and almost an hour for food. By that time, we were hungry. The portion sizes were perfect.
What a treat! The bar area is fabulous, the restaurant is great with tons of seating. All ADA friendly and great service to boot. The bartender was fabulous and made the best huckleberry lemon drops ever made! Love that the establishment uses Wild Roots vodka. Had the eggs Benedict and it was great. The blueberry pancakes and blueberry compote were to die for. Large portions and the dining staff did well. There is a venue upstairs that is accessible via elevator and a wedding was happening upstairs today when we were there. A new speak easy is coming early September 2023 so wait for that review. Great service, exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff and we will go back for sure!!! Parking is street parking or they have a lot nest store between the fire station and the Hive.
Quite simply, a better brunch than First Watch. Waitress was a delight. Eggs Benedict done 3 ways on the heartiest biscuit I've ever had, excellent. Also shrimp & grits, avocado toast, lattes, all of it. This is the spot. Would have come again but they are redoing the furniture on our last day in town.
Amazing brunch. The dirty pumpkin chai latte is delicious, highly recommend. Had family in town this week and a buddy of mine from college the week before and they both said this was their new favorite spot for brunch, me included. Service is tremendous. Can’t go wrong with the shrimp n grits or the Nashville hot chicken. Can’t wait to try other dishes.

Very cool place with a restaurant in front and a bar in the back. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was a tad slow coming out of the kitchen, but it was fun listening to the great music. We had Bloody Marys, which were spicy and tasty. The Bloody Mary Bennys, chicken and waffles and hamburger were great. The country fried ribeye was a bit salty.
Always fresh, always delicious, always vegan. Very nice people at the cart as well. My go to is the heavy burrito ($11 as of 10/23). I usually save half for later and itâs plenty to keep me satisfied. Lots of great ingredients inside: avocado, soy
Traveling through, food was great. Dannalee was super nice along w/ everyone else there. Skinny margarita was a hitter and her teriyaki bowl recommendation was delicious. Thank you great service.

Bri is amazing and so kind. It was a busy Friday night with both new and regular customers and she handled it like the pro she is. The vibe of MadTap is so friendly and inclusive. It's a must try in OC!
Had a wonderful time! Big mama was a great teacher. Our teenagers had a blast! Will definitely be back.

Our favorite local brewery. Great beer, great selection, great casual atmosphere, great service. Plus there is delicious Ranch Pizza there or lots of food cart options. Pro tip: get a âcrowlerâ of your favorite beer to go!
