I visited for brunch on my birthday this weekend and it was AMAZING!! The Staff and Chef are wonderful. They were very attentive, the quality of food is above most restaurants in town. You will not be disappointed with anything on the menu. The ambience of the place is beautiful and well designed. It is a great place for parties or events.

Attended a holiday dinner and show with a group of seniors. The event was staged in an event tent in mid-December. The music and performers were great. The tent was cold, and they're out of the food and non-alcholic beverages, including water,on the menu before 2/3 of the attendees were served. The only assessible feature for individuals with disabilities that I saw was at an exit from the main house to the tent. The terrain was challenging for a wheelchair, walker, or other assisting devices. I would consider another visit when the weather is nicer and staying as a guest.

This is a historic landmark, one of only a few surviving Green locations. "Greenbook" you may ask? Go to the website or look up greenbook online. These locations fed and have shelter to African American travelers in the Jim Crow South for decades. Today's Magnolia House still feeds and gives shelter to all. As for the food. We met on a lazy GHOE Sunday morning for brunch after a very eventful weekend. We were smoking the first seated for 10am brunch I believe. We shared the roasted sweet potato and beets which had caramelized onions ghost cheese and spinach. It was amazing and I will try to duplicate. Fried green tomatoes were also tasty. The show stopper was the oxtail and grits. The grits were excellent and super creamy. The oxtail were very messy, not super fatty and we're very well cooked. Just excellent. The atmosphere was great and service was attentive, even with a trainee always in tow.

This should be on your must do in Greensboro. The food is amazing and well worth waiting for. The servers were sweet. Everyone had terrific hospitality. I am so glad this has been so beautifully restored. A true Greensboro gem.

I debated writing to management, but my Google presented to me my day's activities to rate, so I'm doing it. I was super disappointed today when, understandably, there was no room for 4 of us at the famed Sunday brunch. Had my husband not made reservations on the website, I'd have let it go. But it was bc no one answered the phone, that he went to the website this morning, which said outdoor seating was available and that he could book online, so he did. It said "reserve table now", he picked a date, party size and it said there were tables available and the res. looked to be complete. When we got there, they said "No, we need to email you a confirmation. The outdoor seating is not available." I need to explain why the website, Magnolia House's responsibility, totally let us down, why it's a big deal, and why it needs some attention. I was paying a visit to two people; my BirthMom, who uses a walker and has aphasia (at best) and lives West of the city, and her sister, whose cancer is not in remission, and lives SE of Greensboro. Coordinating this wasn't easy. They are both frail, and husband and I had a 7 hour drive ahead of us, in addition to getting everyone back to their respective homes. We went to 3 other places before we could find a place to have our good-bye brunch. Lastly, the water line cover on the sidewalk outside is a lawsuit waiting to happen, and thankfully, it was my husband who fell in the hole and not my birthmom with her walker. I gave 3 stars bc I'm sure the services we didn't receive and the food we didn't eat are top-notch. Sometimes, it is the little things however, that can make all the difference.

I surprised my husband with an 8th year Anniversary brunch! It was amazing!Chef Yancey made us the chicken and waffles with berry compote and the catfish, shrimp and grits. They surprised us with a hand made caramel and fudge cakefabulousness that's what I'm calling it lol. I'm a local and get to experience this as many times as I want. Next is the Inn. We are definitely staying for sure.

Came here for brunch and it was an unforgettable experience! The decor, the atmosphere, the bubbly shining star server Rakaya, the chicken and waffles. Everything was perfection. Highly recommend!

I did not stay in the hotel, however the property appears to be very well kept. I truly enjoyed a superb meal in the restaurant.
