The Hiker Box Too - Outdoor clothing and equipment shop in Eagle River - 117 E Wall St, USA

Both the Hiker Box (Wall St.) and the Hiker Box Too (Railroad St.) have great items at fair prices for all outdoor enthusiasts. Jessica and Tom are also so helpful- they really went the extra mile to ensure that I got the best fit possible on the backpack that I wanted! You can tell that they love what they do- it shows in both their store and their efforts.

Great little shop if you are into camping and hiking and things of that sort. Knowledgeable staff and they also have another store right around the corner in the old Alexander's pizza building that has more/other products. Including more hiking/camping gear or chairs, headlamps and everything else. And a good selection of maps of different kinds

We rented snowshoes from The Hiker Box to explore Eagle River during our trip over the holiday weekend. We met Jessica & Tom, the owners and they were extremely knowledgeable in helping us get the proper snowshoes for our adventures. When we returned our snowshoes - I ended up buying a pair for myself to use and we also purchased some other awesome gear. This store in itself is worth visiting Eagle River, WI again. Absolutely loved it!

Just got back from The Hiker Box in Eagle River. I found the prices and quality of gear as good or better than online. The ability to touch the fabrics and see the product is important to me as well. We had a decent size order and I started the process with Tom and Jess months in advance, communicating several times on our list to order any colors we needed, get better options or recommend alternatives where needed. The real world knowledge they bring on every decision is incredibly valuable. I hadn't used some of the gear before, but they had, and provided needed recommendations on wear ability, longevity, options, why a piece was good or issues they have seen. Very cool to have the personal touch. We needed time to try stuff on and discuss options so we made an appointment and had Tom and Jess for trying gear on, advice, alternative options. The entire experience was the best I ever had buying outdoor gear and clothing, period. I felt relaxed and comfortable in their very experienced hands and soaked up their knowledge and experience. Just a great experience overall. If within 100 miles of Eagle River, stop in and say hey. A great store in a vibrant and growing town.

The store's as there are 2 are both well stocked for the adventurer. What stands out is the friendly and accommodating service at both shops. The keepers at the Hiker Box Too very cheerful and contagious smiles. The owner who was at the other location very knowledgeable. I was looking for maps and they have them.

I decided to return your review. you are unfriendly to my business you targeted me with negative advertising (your review of me without staying) clearly you publicly display negative attitude towards my business commented on by several guests (if you don't want my guests there let me know I place a sign in the office) Finaly this is private property supported only by my guests! Not rude inconsiderate patrons of other businesses or the rude shop owners who think they are entitled to use my parking lot because they don't have one! PRIVATE PROPERTY I DECIDE WHO PARKS HERE AND WHO DOESN'T if your patrons ask you tell them that. This is America!

This was my third time in this store. I went in 30 min before close to get new shoes and pants. The lady was so helpful, nice, and the store was amazing has everything you could ever need. On my way out I forgot my keys and did not realize till I got to the gas station and my car turned off due to key fob. The store had already shut. This morning I drive back to the store to get my keys and let me just say they forever have my business. They went above and beyond to turn my day around. If your in Eagle River please stop in I highly recommend and I know they will help you what ever you need with gear or if you forget your keys and your 2 hours from home.

This is one of my favorite shops in downtown Eagle River. They have a little bit of everything and everything is super cool. Their pricing is not outrageous like other shops and it’s not the same commercial “stuff” that you will find at every other store. They have the best stuff for pets too especially their dog boots and dog jackets.
