The Herb Lyceum at Gilson's - American restaurant in Groton - 368 Main St, USA

I had the pleasure of photographing an intimate wedding here over the summer. I was blown away by everything these folks offered. The staff was incredible. It was so clear that the food was prepared with so much care. The overall ambiance of the place was so welcoming. You should have no doubt that The Herb Lyceum will be the perfect venue for you.

We live in Groton, and I've had the pleasure of going to the Herb Lyceum many times, and I've never been anything close to disappointed with their food or service! We went again for their New Year's Eve dinner last night, and I'm not gonna lie, EVERYTHING was simply ouy of this world. 5 course meal that was one of the best meals I've ever had, and certainly my best experience there. Absolutely, highly recommend.

What a beautiful Christmas date we had yesterday night at the Herb Lyceum Winter Wonderland Dinner . The staff was very nice, the Cheff is a Professional not just by the food that was so fresh and ”re- delicious” since the first plate to the last also he is awesome as a person . He took care of us like nobody before trying to speak to us in our original language Spanish and always asking us if we need something . The decoration is so so beautiful , the warm environment and also they explained every dish that is served what they have and how they make it . I love this place and it won’t be the las time. Definitely a place you must to go 🥰 So in love 🥰 PS . Recommendation of Malbec was awesome 🍷

My daughter had her wedding here recently. Everyone had the absolute best time! The 5 course meal was fantastic. Every plate was a work of art. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The bar was set up outside under a beautiful tree and lawn games were scattered about. It was just a really relaxing place to hang with family and friends and celebrate a fantastic couple.

Lovely experience at the bistro night at the Herb Lyceum! Each course tasted amazing, came out fresh and hot, excellent server and lovely people. Only a few selections for each course but they have an option for everyone and accommodated allergies very well, even though it may not be on the menu!! Derek our server was great!! Unique dining in such a sweet space. Would recommend 10/10 and excited to return!

Incredible meal, price, atmosphere, and staff! Some of the best beef cheek I've ever had. These chefs really know what they are doing and the family style seating is very fun.

We did a Winter Wonderland dinner experience here with 8 friends. The entire evening was amazing:from food and fun at the fire pit to inside at a beautifully set table to the incredible food paired with uniquely crafted beverages. We highly recommend this place. The service from the staff was so attentive and each member was clearly invested in their craft and to the guests in attendance. Thank you!

I truly wanted to love this place , but I left with a kind of just liking it attitude. I fully understand the farm to table concept and a slow food movement but a couple things that were not appreciated, one was the fact that it was raining, so we walked through a mudded parking lot with absolutely no lighting besides the one on our phones only to be greeted by a puddle of water by the walkway to enter . I get the fact that it’s a farm , but it should be handled a bit better , we had to go back to our hotel and clean our shoes from the mud I also had to detail my car interior the next day. Two was the dinner ,although the courses were good ( not to take away from the chef ) but I feel the burnt ends were misrepresented, I was expecting a well marbled fat crispy end , but instead i received a more muscle chuck roast like , it wasn’t bad but not what I was expecting. Even though gratuity was included with out tickets, We tipped the waitstaff on top of that because they did a great job and non reflective towards out meal. That’s my personal opinion with this dine experience
