The Harrison Hotel Downtown Hollywood - Hotel in Hollywood - 1925 Harrison St, USA

The only thing I liked about staying here is it was affordable, the guy at the front desk was really friendly, and it was a 2 minute drive to the beach you could walk it if you wanted to. But the rooms smelled like mold and mildew, the parking garage was the most crazy maze I've ever drove through and there was construction on the pool from daylight to 10pm which was not advertised so no use of the pool. It was about 2 years ago that I stayed there so things my have changed since then but I've stayed at a lot of places and I'll never forget this place. Just gross.

The location of the hotel is terrible. In the middle of businesses and you can’t tell it’s a hotel. The parking garbage is awful especially if you drive a pickup truck like me. I almost smash the front and back side trying to exit the place. On top of that you have to pay $15 for parking. When I booked it, it never said anything about paying for parking. If not I would have never booked. So parking was $30! The host named Keith was very nice. And the room I really liked and it was clean and good. You also have to leave a $125 deposit and it takes forever to go back to my account. I’m never coming here again. Terrible

THE LOCATION IS AMAZING . THEY ARE UNDER RENOVATION SO I UNDERSTAND. BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS YOU JOB TO MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOMED. I FELT LIKE I was at a fleabag motel pay by the hour. COME ON Frint desk... love yourself and your job. Put a smile on your face. I bet your didn't act miserable when you applied... !!! I can't wait to see it when RENOVATION are done...I hope more than that changes. Location gets a star and Cleanliness also. Maybe next time everyone has a bad day.

Even though this hotel is undergoing some renovations, we would definitely stay here again. We were there Friday night and Saturday night. Once we arrived and were given a room, The outlets on the main wall did not work. Plugged into it was the TV, Coffee pot and refrigerator. Once we let the front desk know, they gave us an immediate room change. The floors of the room we stayed in did not have carpet, which I love! Being that it is downtown Hollywood, it was very convenient and within walking distance of several restaurants and bars. We ate at Takitos and it was so good! It was behind the hotel but you had to walk down to the street to get to it because there was no back door. Although we weren’t there much during the day, it seemed quiet in the evening times. And the beds were very nice!

Pictures on the website are lies!! No bars or lounge, all construction materials blocking the entrance. Pieces of the building is missing due to demolition. The colors of the building is old and dirty. Refused to stay there. They should close this hotel until the upgrades are completed.

Completely let down by the hotel. Nowhere they declared before booking they are under renovation, only once you reach there to check in you realize it’s a mess. Construction noise starts early morning, pool is shutdown, it’s dirt everywhere you go, elevators from the garage don’t work (except the lobby), and checkin is so clumsy. Beware before you book!

This place needs to shut down until they can get fixed up or replaced. This is the definition of read the reviews first. The only nice staff was the security. A quick place to sleep but not worth it if you're trying to relax. Not living up to how downtown does look.

The place is good, but it was under renovation when I visited it. It looks shady when you see it from outside, but the rooms are as good as a 5-star hotel has. Parking here is costly, but a safer option to opt rather than parking in metered public parking places.
