The food was surprisingly good at Harp's.. We stopped in for a lunch and didn't have high expectations based on the bar heavy appearance. But the seafood platter was delicious- crispy, hot and salted perfectly. And each item ( prawns, cod, chips and salmon) were cooked very well. And everything seemed freshly made. The bangers & mash ( lunch portion) was done very nicely too.
For an Irish pub restaurant, this one is better than most that I have seen. The food is very good and it's similar to what I have seen while traveling through the United Kingdom. The fish and chips were excellent, all cooked to the perfect crispness. Highly recommended!
A very enjoyable place! Whether you're here visiting or a local this is a great pub to come to. A wide variety of food ranging from traditional Irish fare, bar staples, and some outliers (chicken satay, anyone?). There is something for everyone here. I've been a couple times now and the entire staff is attentive, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and the food is good at reasonable prices.
Embrace your Irish roots at this cozy Irish pub. I had the sausage rolls along with Shepard's Pie. Both were scrumptious. The sausage in the rolls was herbal (maybe sage or Basil) and the puff pastry was nice and flaky. Having gravy was a nice addition. The savory flavor of the Shepard's Pie is the best I've had in a while and really hit the spot. It also had just the right amount of peas and carrots. There's a slice of Irish bread on the side and it reminded me of a sweet corn bread. I look forward to returning to try the fish and chips!
Very friendly service and relaxing atmosphere. There are games engraved on some of the wooden table tops.. The food is wonderful too! From burgers to Irish food (bangers and mash, shepherds pie, etc.) My son brought me here for my first time and I had to bring my hubby back a few days later. Clean place and the staff was friendly. I will definitely be back!
I had corned beef mac and cheese and it was delicious. Great spot to catch TNF and relax with a pint. When I’m in town I’ll definitely be back.
The shepherds pie was phenomenal and I will definitely be coming back for it again. The beer selection was also very tasty.
Nice, clean and full of Irish decor. A little after we sat down, there was live entertainment. We stopped in for a drink and some food. He got the bangers and mash. I got the fried chicken. For appetizers I picked calamari and Harp bites. Everything was delicious. The server was alright. She could have checked on us a little more. At one point I wanted water and it took a while. For drinks he had Guinness and I had Jack and diet.
