The Harbor Grand Hotel - Hotel in New Buffalo - 111 W Water St, USA

My husband and I came to the Harbor Grand for our honeymoon. It was lovely. We chose the bay view room. Best decision ever! We so enjoyed choosing our breakfast options! The instructions were a bit unclear at first, we weren't told that we were only to use one paper per night. We had both written out our options and hung both blue papers on the door at the same time. Our favorite foods were by far the egg casserole and the cinnamon raisin scone dipped into our coffee. It was so special to receive our basket of food in the morning, at the specific time we selected. We did call twice before our stay to specify that it was our honeymoon. We got a complimentary sparkling wine, though our card said "happy anniversary". Was hoping for the chocolate covered strawberries that the staff had promised. But it was still really nice. The bathrooms are lovely, so romantic with a large bathtub for two and a tall shower. Low lighting options are wonderful for the bathroom and the main bedroom. Heated fireplace is beside the bed. There is a nice booth area with a table to eat your breakfast at and watch tv. The hotel felt very upscale with shops, food, and drinks within walking distance. Only down the road from the beach as well. The screen cast option did not work for us on the TVs. We have Moto G phones, Android. Power went out during our visit due to a bad storm. Hotel was hospitable in providing flashlights and glow sticks to all guests as well as updating all. There is a restaurant located inside of the hotel, downstairs. It was very romantic, felt fancy. Service was wonderful with options to sit indoors or outdoors. The pool and hot tub is kept up very nicely, with fresh citrus water available along with fresh towels, a cleansing shower/bathroom, and outdoor or indoor seating. This has become our favorite hotel in the area. Top notch service. We have stayed in the family suite on two separate occasions and both times the suite was spotless. The beds are comfortable and we loved the breakfast basket delivered to our room. The pool was great and so was the hot tub. Every staff member we encountered were extremely professional and kind. The beach is a short walk away. They will also lend you bikes. We had a great time. We will be back.

My wife and I have stayed here twice. We love it. It’s small, clean, the restaurant is great, love the views, and it's close to everything. We will continue to come here each year for R&R.

I had a great stay. Friendly front desk. Room was clean, and spacious. I walked to the beach and saw an amazing sunset. Walked to local shops and restaurants. And the picnic basket breakfast delivered to the room was delicious.

Hands down THE BEST hotel in New Buffalo! Four Seasons / 5 star hotel look and feel, everything is NEW and clean, relaxing amenities, attentive staff who go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met, amazing lakeview rooms (a must!). And fabulous restaurant in the lower level of the hotel. TRUST ME, you won’t be disappointed here! I’m a hotel snob and i love this place!

The value is not there. You don’t get what you pay for. My fiancé wouldn’t let me post this without mentioning luxury shouldn’t be “laid back” and the ice cream taste exactly like Beyers Vanilla. I would not return to this hotel with how expensive it is and no return on experience.

From the minute I walked into the Harbor Grand Hotel I immediately felt welcomed. Hannah at the front desk was very warm and kind. I loved the cozy fireplace in the lobby and could sit there all day. The interior décor of the hotel and my room were stunning. One of the highlights of my stay was the cozy fireplace in my hotel room. I also loved the soaking tub. My room was extremely clean and the bed was beyond comfortable. The attention to detail throughout the Harbor Grand Hotel is truly remarkable, from the impeccable service to the stunning views of the harbor. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat, this hotel exceeds expectations in every way. I can't wait to return.

We had an absolutely lovely time at this hotel. The reception workers are extremely friendly and personable. The room we had was clean, spacious, and modern looking. I was happy that we were in a nice, quiet hallway. The bed was also very comfortable. If you're hungry, the Terrace Room on the Lower Level is a nice, fancy restaurant with great food. The wait staff are also professional and friendly.
