Very satisfied with our food and the ambience. With the coconut curry chicken I ordered I can say that it's the first time in a long while that I've tasted something uniquely new. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the drink and food selections and was very professional. Would definitely return. Loved the cloth towels in the bathrooms.

So, note I make this statement as a mutt of York. I know it far better then most my age. This is a breath of life that York needs. Food is without a doubt best in York. The drinks are great but you need not come here for that alone. If your like people like Bobby and Gordon. Then you'll love the food here. As it's the best in York. I love here over thirty years and can say with out the shadow of a doubt. The best food in York. It's worth the extra penny. Please, try this place out and help it grow.

This place is so much more different than your typical restaurant in the area. It gives you a big city feel in our little City of York. My girlfriend Gavriella and I went for a Wednesday wine tasting night, "An Evening in Paris". We had a blast learning more and trying some great French wines! Side note, the Juliette Rose is fantastic. Robert ran the tasting, and his knowledge and passion definitely stood out. We decided to go with Swiss burgers since we're both huge burger fans, and they were excellent. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the fries were seasoned just right. I'm giving the restaurant a perfect score because I was wowed from the moment I walked in the door! Did I mention they even have an art studio on the 2nd floor!

The atmosphere is the big deal here. Music genre changes as the night goes on. The bar tender (who is there every weekend) really makes the place pop. Super friendly and knows the area well. He knows how to make a proper whiskey sour. Reasonably priced for a city bar. Drink menu was top knotch. The tapas served here were both filling and inexpensive. The presentation was also very good both for drink and food. They have a piano player from time to time as well. Reservations were not mandatory but were strong advised, you could get a better table by the windows or piano player with one . Place just had a super chill vibe for all ages.

On a quiet Monday evening, i don't think the restaurant was ready for a large party in addition to what always to be their normal series of couples and quads. Once I was noticed (the busboy came to greet me after realizing he was the only one able to do so), the experience was great. I sat outside, and my service was timely. The gazpacho was spicy. The salmon was well-seasoned. (Hurray! No BS, aka Bland Salmon.) Colleen, my server, recommended a delicious Cab (Browne), which I very much enjoyed. Parking right around the corner in the public lot was inexpensive and convenient. Warning: The intersection crossing chirrups may be a bit much for those with sensitive hearing, so opt for an inside table if you want quiet.

We attended Cabfest. What a great experience. Very large wine selection and knowledgeable staff.

100% worth the drive! The food is amazing, a wine list that goes on and on, the atmosphere is perfect and the service was top notch! We had an incredible meal and were able to support local artists while we waited for our food, while enjoying a fabulous bottle of wine. I will definitely return. This was not just dinner out, it was an experience. Love!

We always have the best experiences at Handsome Cab! John, the host, is always so pleasant and a great conversationalist. They make the best cocktails here, and always have a stellar wine list. The staff really know their stuff when it comes to mixing drinks and serving up amazing food. The menu changes from time to time and always has vegan options, and a great variety. They’re also so considerate here! They leave out blankets for patron use outside during the cooler nights and are planning on having heaters, too. This is great because we can continue to spend Saturday evenings out listening to the live music and enjoying excellent food and drinks. We definitely plan on visiting again!
