5 stars is for the atmosphere. Old gym, old equipment... but everything you need to get the job done. Very friendly staff willing to spot and correct form even for people from out of town. As a female athlete I felt welcome, safe, and comfortable. The other gym goers were friendly but focused. A no nonsense gym where you can do your own thing without being disturbed. Perfect.
Additional things to know if you're from out of town: Fair pass price (when I visited: 8 dollar day pass, 30 dollar week.) Lockers available but no locker room. No showers. Clean bathroom. Air conditioned.
I visited this gym a couple times last week while I was on vacation, and I must say, I highly recommend it to everyone, especially fellow vacationers. It's a great way to maintain your weightlifting routine even when you're supposed to be taking it easy and unwinding. Personally, I find going to the gym incredibly rejuvenating and relaxing.
Enjoyed this gym! Polite and efficient staff. Fair prices for a day pass and hard core feel. Not a corporate place. People trained hard and that is a great atmosphere! Here on vacation from Buffalo. Will visit rest of this week.
It's disappointing when the gym is full of muscular guys but acts rude and seems to think he's better than everyone else. I was the only Vietnamese there. Stop banging on the door when someone else is in the restroom. Gym owners should manage their members more carefully.
This is a cheap, small, old school gym. I came here while vacationing in NMB. The daily/one-time rate is $7. I was mostly interested in the squat rack and the bench press bench. There's just one rack and two benches, but it doesn't seem like there are many people in the gym, so the equipment was mostly available whenever. There's also a smith machine if you're into that, dumbbells, all the usual stuff. It's all really old, none of the barbell plates are rubberized. I saw treadmills, an exercise bike, some other equipment. There are a couple of water fountains and paper towel dispensers. Basically, anything you'd need in a gym, just less of it and everything's old. For the price it wasn't bad.
Great place to get in some much needed work… even on vacation. Had most everything you’d need there even though it is a small place. We got day passes at a low cost. Everyone there was friendly, even to us non-locals. If I’m ever back in the area and need a workout I’d definitely go here.
Awesome old fashioned gym, clean, friendly, and all around one of the best gyms I've been to.
The absolute best gym value for those traveling to Myrtle Beach. $25 for a week, gets you a serious weight room, and some decent cardio machines. It doesn't have any classes, but there are fitness instructors and they are constantly upgrading and updating the equipment.
I recently joined Edisonâs Smart Fitness and I must say from the day I walked in for information, signed up and now when I walk in to work out Iâm impressed! The staff is always pleasant and friendly, the equipment is unmatched by other gyms, and
This part of North Myrtle Beach is family friendly and has enough entertainment to be enjoyed by all ages. Beach, bands, shopping, establishments, eating, coffee, putt-putt and more... even a neighborhood feel if you drive around.

Wonderful park for a quick walk for us and the pup. Dedicated Nature Preserve Parking is at the North side of boat launch. Neat viewing platforms dispersed throughout Park. Make sure not to go at high tide or some parts of the trail might be flood
