Absolute must if you're in Tallahassee! Very interesting and rich history of a true American. The museum chronicles the life and legacy of Mr. John Gilmore Riley and some history of the time. The guides are very knowledgeable and patient, and the tour goes at your pace. So you can spend as little or as much time as you'd like. Photography is allowed and encouraged, and the guides answer all your questions to the best of their abilities. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would recommend this museum to anyone!
Visited while in Tallahassee for my daughter's orientation at FAMU. Excellent tour and even better tour guide at The Grove!! 10/10 would recommend!!
Beautiful home on scenic grounds — great for a walk and sit. The museum itself is free and very digestible. A thorough visit can easily be accomplished in 20-30 minutes.
The museum is especially fascinating for locals or those who know Tallahassee well; it puts many faces to names and provides interesting (and sometimes disturbing) historical context to the land and city. For out-of-towners a visit could serve as merely an interesting and pretty visit to a historic antebellum home. I highly recommend strolling the grounds after. They have a dog path too! Great for a quick, free, local afternoon trip.
Absolutely stunning, another jewel 💎 of Florida history. The garden features tons of Magnolia Trees and lots of beautiful flowers. A must see if visiting Tallahassee.
The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I love that they've included a kids reading time as well.
Enjoy my photos!!!
When you're done touring the fascinating Museum inside, take the time to visit the Beautiful Trees throughout the premises. Well kept and impeccably clean properly. The volunteers were all genuinely friendly and joyful. Highly recommended.
The tour was very informative and presented well although it was difficult understanding our first guide who wore a mask. The home and it's history was interesting, we enjoyed the presentation that followed in the lower area. Thank you for preservation and wish this home continued success. We will be back when cooler weather arrives to visit the garden area as well. This is a free museum (donations welcomed). Well worth looking into for many special events throughout the year.
Love the Grove!! It's a beautiful hidden gem on Monroe street. The staff members who work there are so knowledgeable of the house and the land. The tours are also quite detailed and pays tribute to all aspects of the people who've lived and worked in the home. I love how they always showcase the history of the house and land with various activities for the whole family throughout the year such as their monthly Backyard Discovery program and Nature Walks. I will definitely be coming back again and again.
This museum is a hidden gem of important Florida history! The grounds are beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly.

I went here March 2022 and another time afterwards and my kids and I had a blast. They had a lot of different activities so no one should be bored. Thereâs zip lining, a nice park, a place to get brunch and drinks, exhibits and much more. Iâve be
We asked for an individualized speed and agility training for my son who is a 13 year old baseball player. We were paired with Jensen. After just a few sessions my son dropped 0.9 of a second off of his best 60 meter time. Jensen clearly has gotten

We had a birthday party for our newest teen. We booked the Splatter Room. The kids had a ton of fun, we enjoyed watching the shenanigans from outside the room, and the kids' paintings were awesome. Our host (sorry I forgot your name!) was great! He m
I went to Top Dog for my last 2 years of college and it was well worth it. Working out every day here was definitely one of the highlights of my life while I was in school, and really helped me to grow into myself to feel confident and comfortable in
We came to Tallahassee simply because we hadn't stopped there before. Many things to see and do. Really glad we picked Little English Guesthouse to stay at. It's easy to find in a nice neighborhood. The entrance is well lit after dark, as is the par
Incredibly delicious! Enjoying a bacon cheeseburger, quesadilla with fried oyster mushrooms, paired with four different saucesâmy favorite being mayo and dill. The addition of bloody marry cocktail made it a perfect dining experience.
Great night celebrating a friend! Our second bottle (pictured here) came with a back story while it was delightfully aerated. Knowledgeable staff provided top notch service all around (table check-ins were tentative but not too frequent, waters were
Had an absolutely fabulous time here. Weâve been wanting to try it since they opened and finally made time to come. The place itself is pretty small and cozy feeling. We loved the fact you could watch the chefs cooking.
The most shocking part was
Yes, my experience was great. I had lots of fun. The students were more than welcoming in the teachers and coaches were even better. They were more inviting than I ever thought they would be for a first time, and I had a great learning experience, an
