The Grove at Pismo Beach - Hotel in Pismo Beach - 230 5 Cities Dr, USA

Been coming to this hotel every year for the past 8 years. We love staying here the rooms get the job done and the location is nice. I especially love getting a room in the back and looking out at the lit up mountains at night. My kids and everyone else including others I have talked to who stay here LOVE the hot tub with the WATERFALL. Unfortunately the waterfall is shutdown as of right now but id highly urge the owner/manager to get that situation figured out because that is one of if not the main attraction to this place. We will keep coming back though even if there is no waterfall hot tub haha

They have made a lot of changes I feel that were not for the better. They took out the Jasmine in the front that made everything smell so good. They removed the breakfast. They no longer serve anything but coffee. They took out the waterfall in the hot tub and the jets. The staff was very rude to me during my check in for absolutely no reason. I was very disappointed and I won't be staying here again. My family and I stay here every time we go to the coast but this time will be the last. Very disappointed.

Quiet, decent room. Beds were doubles, which is smaller than we're used to, but for the price it was worth it. Breakfast was lovely (including the staff!) and the temperature of the pool was perfect.

This is a nice hotel with clean rooms cable TV and decent rates. It is located only a block from the beach and a block from the gift shops, restaurants and night life. I would recommend making a reservation in advance. I have stayed here a few times and will be back again in the future. 👍👍👍👍 ★To the management: No need for thanks. The pleasure was all mine. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When I went to check In there was a line outside the door with only one employee helping. There was no phone inside the room to call the front desk, I had to call off my phone to ask for extra towels, and was told they ran out of towels and couldn’t get more until morning. My son needed his formula refrigerated and the fridge didn’t get cold. My family couldn’t enjoy the pool because there was a party of people drinking and being loud. Overall it was a horrible experience

Friendly staff, clean rooms and free breakfast. Oh...and the pool is heated to about 85 degrees and the enormous hot tub is heated hot like it should be. Best hotel stay I've had in years! 😊

Beware of surprise fees before booking here. They are not transparent with room rates ("service" fees for booking through third party, no breakfast with third party booking, credit card transaction fees). These are deceptive business practices seen very rarely in the hotel industry. When you book a hotel for a certain rate, everything should be included in the hotel rate except for local and state taxes. "Service" and "credit card merchant fees" should be absorbed by the hotel, and hotel should adjust their rates accordingly for these business expenses.

Walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbours coughing and talking all night. Had to call the office at 12am and ask them to deal with the people drinking and being noisy outside our room all night. Booked a room with free breakfast included but when I checked in I was told we don't have breakfast available at this time. Then to top it off, was charged an additional $12 after checking out. When I called to ask why, I was told it was a service fee that should have been charged at check in. Unacceptable to charge extra after we had left without mentioning it at any time.
