Outstanding lunch at The Grotto! From the moment we walked in and met our server Rachel, we had phenomenal service. Rachel suggested regional drinks (Loganberry! So so good!) and the popular dishes in the menu. She even went above and beyond to help us since we were traveling through. The food itself was excellent! Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had! The Spaghetti Parmesan style with meatballs was delicious as well as the cannolis and Tiramisu. The owner/chef provided great service as well, talking with us and checking on us several times. Delicious lunch with truly the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Thank you!
Everything is excellent, unique, delicious soups, fabulous Italian, great specials. The manicotti is made with fresh made crepes, so light and delicious. Don't miss out, eat here.
If you’re downtown looking for lunch, would recommend giving it a try. Grabbed takeout for lunch. I had the falafel wrap, which was solid for a non-Mediterranean spot. Friends had the eggplant parm sandwich and spaghetti with meatballs. They both loved them but said the meatballs were a little salty. I also saw they have daily lunch specials which I didn’t see until I got there for pickup. Overall would recommend. 4.6/5-BJ
This place is amazing! The soup is to die for and all the food is great! The chef is a miracle maker and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is a must stop place for lunch and drinks. Did I mention the soup....OMG! Daily specials too!
Great lunch! I ordered the meatball parm sandwich. I really appreciated that the meatballs and sauce were not overdone with seasoning. The seasoning complemented rather than dominated. The sandwich comes with a pickle spear and a choice of potato salad or macaroni salad. I chose the latter. The mac salad was very tasty. My biggest pleasure was the dill pickle. It was terrific - crunchy and not overwhelmed by the spices or vinegar. It was more akin to the store-bought Clausen brand pickle. Well done!
Everything on the menu is absolutely amazing!!! They even offer a special menu with about 6 items on it, soups of the day, and amazing desserts!!! I've eaten there many of times and still am amazed by the quality of the food and service!!! I definitely recommend this hidden gem. The food is worth every penny!!! And the head chef is so sweet and greets you within 10 minutes of being inside. He truly makes you feel like you are a part of the family. The personal pizza is definitely a personal fav of mine! And those sweet potato fries are heavenly!!
Food was great. We ended up bring 1 app and 1/2 an entreé back to our hotel and that became dinner. Would definatly recommend looking over their specials.

The washrooms are a bit small and if you are in a wheel chair they are basicly unusable unless you have a decent amount of mobility.
Went for lunch with family. Loved the beet salad, manicotti ( house special) and chicken Parm sandwich. All dishes were amazing. Service was great as well. Strongly recommend.
Enjoyed sharing dinner with my husband at Daniela tonight. (We split all the dishes.) Margherita pizza was the best with fresh ingredients! Pomodora e Crema was delicious! Their Tiramisu was awesome! I highly recommend this incredible restaurant.
