Chose this place with no expectations , just looking for a casual Saturday night dinner. Came here for a quick bite with our toddler and it was great. More than just a wing and beer spot to watch football. The Cajun themed menu definitely delivers. Food was excellent and had a regular kids menu / high chair / kids coloring. Service was extremely fast, and we plan to return.
I have eaten here quite a few times since moving to the area. This experience was disappointing with the service. I ordered on Uber Eat back in November (less than 2 months ago) and received a message back from the restaurant advising they offer curbside pickup when ordering directly from their website. I remembered this tonight and placed a curbside order online. The website requested my vehicle information, which I provided. When I arrived and parked in the reserve space at the entrance, we called after a few minutes and was informed that we could come in to get the order since they do not bring it to the vehicle. Given that it was a cold night, I would've prepared differently. In addition, while it was a small tip of $4 or $5, I added it to the order under the impression that an employee would be coming out in the cold to bring the order. In relation to the food itself, the fried crab fingers and pasta Monica (combo) were good. The kid's popcorn shrimp were plentiful, but the fries were lacking in taste and quantity. We ordered cajun fries, but these were not seasoned as usual and were soggy. I have never had an issue with the food, including the fries, in prior deliveries or while dining in. My last delivery order was rated 5 stars within the app.
The Oysters were good..the drinks were average...the staff catered to the usual patrons..I won't be back. Just an update on the experience. My bill was $150, paid. A waitress was upset that a customer walked out on a bill for 7.47, I paid it for her. Then I get a notification that they charged me $407.47 on top of the $150. I was the only one on my tab. I closed my tab out at $150! I've reached out to the establishment and was told that the manager would look into it and I have not heard from her. I definitely don't recommend this establishment that has no issues with stealing from a Veteran.
I recently dined at The Green Gator in Frisco for lunch. The pub ambiance was okay slightly dark inside. The service was decent, especially considering it was a lunch rush. I opted for the catfish, shrimp, and fries combo. While the meal was served hot and well-fried, I couldn't help but feel that the catfish could have been something other than catfish. Seemed more like sway, than catfish. It left me wishing for a different flavor profile. The highlight was the speed of service, which ensured I could enjoy my lunch without feeling rushed. Overall, a satisfactory experience. This restaurant for me was a one-and-done.
When I walked in no one greeted me. I stood at the bar for atleast a couple of minutes before I was asked if I needed something. It was a Saturday at 730, it was pretty dead on there. As someone who frequents NOLA, this restaurant may be inspired by Nola style food but it’s far from real Cajun. $30 for charbroiled oysters that were very small and lacking in sauce and ingredients. It just looks thrown together, there was barely any butter on the oysters let alone in the pan. The cheese was still soft and didn’t get that charbroiled crunch. The flavor was decent, there just wasn’t a lot of it. We also got the crab cakes, they are filled with a lot of stuffing that doesn’t include crab. The kids fried shrimp was the best tasting item we got. Seasoned perfectly. The red beans and rice were good, nothing special. I was very disappointed. I spent $74 on the actual food.
Nice location with quick service. Menu has New Orleans food items like gumbo, shrimp and the poboys are a decent size. I enjoyed their Cobb salad also. Prices are reasonable and average for Frisco area. Cocktails were very good and reasonably priced. Our server, Sean, was quick, polite and informative on menu and specials. He even made sure our drinks were refilled throughout stay. Has stage for live entertainment. Was told Friday nights are best nights to enjoy live entertainment but crowded on that day. Nice for business meetings, friends, families, small and large groups or eating solo. Had outside area also when weather is nice. ENJOY. Due to inflation portions are smaller. Just be informed.
Tomato paste does not belong in jambalaya. Taste like I’m eating a bottle of ketchup. Luckily bought a piece of chicken so I was able to eat something. The place had no people in there, very slow/dead.
There jambalaya is like soup I’ve never had it this was very tomato paste tasting. The description states a casserole but its very soupy. I paid 12.99 for a very small portion as well
