The Green Door Bar & Grill - Bar in Lansing - 2005 E Michigan Ave, USA

Green Door is a great place to get out or get together or if u just wanna have a drink and hear some music. Nice outside patio when it's warm out in the back. Not sure how big their menu is anymore.but the food was always good. The Nachos rocked. The place is clean. I always take pics of places bathrooms cause there's a saying that goes you can tell how clean a place and a kitchen is by the cleanliness of their bathrooms. As you can see spotless. Great place for watching sports to with all the TV's. Also a downstairs area u can rent for parties. All around a huge asset to the Eastside and Lansing in general. Great owner and employees as well.

The band was great! Service was horrible, almost a joke. We sat at the big table as a #60 birthday party of 10. We also had a table of 6 that had a better (new) waitress. Never once was I asked if I needed anything. 8pm - close. Waitress walked around like she was everybody's boss and did nothing! We cleaned our own table and went to the bar to wait 5 minutes for a drink. Super disappointed!

Went for New Year's eve ,It was okay, needed more stools,,lot of people standing.. Drinks were messed up ,not what was ordered, 3 times.Too bad it's so small in there ,usually has good bands!

One of Lansing's legendary dive bars. Their only open three days a week (when posted). They typically have bands on the weekend and karaoke on Thursdays. The bartenders are super friendly too!

So good to have the Green Door open again. We had an amazing time during the Blues Brawl.Looking forward to the next visit.

The band MIX PACK was great , definitely made you want to get up and dance, and we did, but the service was not acceptable. It wasn't very busy ,but not one time in the 3 hours we were there, did a server come to our table. I know for a fact one server was in the bathroom taking selfies of her backside in the mirror, because I walked in on her doing it. When you pay 5.00 a person to go see a great band, service should be rendered. They missed out on what could have been a great tip. Oh well the band was worth it. FYI I was in the customer service industry for 40 years and actually taught employees about what customer service is. I've been going to the Green Door for many years and I will continue to go see great entertainment ,in spite of the poor service.

Had a nice night here, the bartender was excellent!! Engaging and efficient. Can't say enough good things. But then on the smoking patio, we encountered a bad situation. A drunk 21 year old college girl was spouting off about how bi-racial children aren't as good as "pure" children. Our cincersation never got heated or aggressive at all. They sided with the racist and asked me to leave, which I did. They didn't have to ask me to leave, because I will never return. This bar apparently encourages hateful and racist speech. Do not give them your buisness when there is an extremely inclusive bar almost next door, in the Ave.

Great service, very friendly staff. The live music, The Louderthans, were Excellent!
