I reviewed The Grand Hotel before (pre-covid) and I'll stick to my 5 star review. Always extremely clean, the staff is always friendly and very helpful. Bed is quite comfortable. Can't say anything about the pull-out sofa, haven't used it myself, but no complaints from my travel mates. I do miss the buffet breakfast that used to be served, but I'm not the world's biggest breakfast person so that's OK. The price? Truly reasonable for the area. I generally stay "off-season" but even the summer rate is good. How many times have I stayed here? More than 10 for sure!
My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hotel for 5 nights. We were very comfortable with a living room and a bedroom with a table and microwave and mini fridge. There was a nice TV in each of the two rooms. It was quiet and had everything we needed. It was very clean and the furnishings were updated. If we had any questions, the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly to answer our questions. This hotel was a comfortable walking distance to the Marginal Way, downtown Ogunquit, and many shops and restaurants. It was decorated festively for the Halloween/ Fall season. We will stay here again.
The Grand Hotel continues to be our go to place to stay during our annual visit to Ogunquit. We stayed in the Penthouse Suite and it had been updated with a new, larger refrigerator and microwave. The rooms are always clean and the staff are always available for anything that you may need. The location is perfect, and covered parking is an added bonus. My only complaint would be that the television in the living room area is very old (low def) and there are only a handful of cable channels. But, we aren't staying there to watch tv, so it's not that big of a deal. It would just be nice to have a high def tv with more options in the evening. Thank you to all of the staff for another amazing stay and we look forward to returning!
Great location. Great Halloween decorations everywhere. The rooms are very comfortable! My friends and I make this our annual fall trip and we have a blast! Just a short walk to Perkins cove and my favorite restaurant barnacle Billy's!
This was our THIRD year in a row to go to a performance at the Ogunquit Playhouse and stay at The Grand Hotel! As always, the suite was very clean and we totally appreciated the welcome gift of wine, soppressata, cheese, and crackers! The hot tub was very clean and relaxing! We saw the show "Tootsie" at the Ogunquit Playhouse, which was awesome! The entire cast was outstanding, and it was amazing to see Sally Struthers perform live! We highly recommend staying at The Grand Hotel!
This hotel is in the perfect location to walk to the downtown area, Perkins Cove or enjoying the view walking the Marginal Way. There are so many restaurants to choose from close to the hotel. We liked The Maine Catch only steps from the hotel.| |The hotel has a hot tub on the back deck that we enjoyed after a day of walking and the front porch is perfect for sipping a glass of wine. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are both clean and spacious. We would definitely return for another visit to Ogunquit.|
Customer above all else. What more can I say? The Grand Hotel Ogunquit is THE place to stay while visiting this lovely town. My wife and I visited for our babymoon and plan to do so again, thanks to our great experience. We arrived late at night but the hotel staff, notably Heidi, had everything prepared for our arrival. Room key, instructions and plenty of thoughtful notes were left for us for our arrival. We felt as we were in GREAT hands. The level of service was above and beyond and to the highest level of understanding for us. We also felt very comfortable and welcomed thanks to the notes left for us. Rooms were great, very roomy with a living room in addition to the bedroom and bathroom. Tons of space for sure. The hotel also has a heated indoor pool that we didn't use as we forgot bathing suits, and an outdoor hot tub. No breakfast served but there is a coffee bar available each morning. Location of the hotel is fantastic. A mile-ish walk to downtown, less than half mile walk to Perkins Cove and conveniently located close to plenty of great food and shop spots. Also, the trolley makes a stop at the hotel, so an easy $5 will get you where you need to go if you don't feel like walking. All in all, the Grand Hotel Ogunquit is a great stay for first timers and returning visitors. Expect nothing but the best here.
The hotel was lovely and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable and my husband and I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy everything the hotel and the area has to offer. We will definitely return for a longer stay.
