Lovely home! I came for brunch but checked out the rooms while here! Lovely, cozy place to stay.
From the rich, hearty, delicious breakfast in the morning to the complimentary decanter of port in the evening, this B&B is a triumph of hospitality. The house was always cool despite the high heat of the climate, Darlene and Troy were always on hand to make sure I had everything I needed, the cleanliness of the place was superb, the property indoors and out was gorgeous, and every accommodation and consideration was made for my comfort. Troy even made a purchase for me when he went to the store! I would recommend this establishment to any and everybody that was traveling to Kernersville.
I was delighted to find rooms available at this inn to stay for High Point Market. Darlene and I communicated via email several times prior to our arrival, and she was incredibly accommodating to our timeline - it was nice to have such a personalized experience with our overnight stay from the beginning. Darlene and Troy were very welcoming when we arrived and got us situated in our rooms (my friend/coworker and I were in 2 of the rooms). Breakfast each morning felt like we were at a restaurant - delicious and served fresh! Our stay was for 6 nights, and I was so disappointed the first morning after I returned home that I didn't have a snazzy breakfast waiting when I came downstairs ha! We enjoyed chatting with Darlene and Troy to learn more about the house and what led them to own and operate this inn. We also loved the location because it was so close to the downtown Kernersville area with several cute restaurants and shops (several recommended by the innkeepers). Our rooms were comfortable and clean (one upstairs and one downstairs) and always had a nice fragrance (but not overpowering). Parking is directly behind the inn and free. The Wi-Fi worked great for the work I needed to get to in the evening. Every guest receives a cozy robe and slippers to walk back and forth to the detached bathrooms. If you are looking for a relaxing, welcoming, charming place to stay then this is it! I hope to return in the future to visit my new innkeeper friends!
I can’t over exaggerate how amazing of an experience this was for my girlfriend and I! The Gibson inn is perfectly located within walking distance of downtown Kernersville. The house has a very historic feel with enough upgrades to not miss out on any modern comforts. Darlene and Troy are extremely sweet and hospitable, not to mention Darlene’s breakfast’s are fit to feed a king! This was an overall very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend for anyone that wants to feel at home even when they are traveling.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming and welcoming bed & breakfast. The bed was comfy and the rooms are so cute. The breakfasts were exceptionally delicious. The hosts are wonderful people. They did a great job restoring this historical home.
The Gibson House hosted my daughter's bridesmaid's luncheon. It was fabulous! I wouldn't change a thing. There were so many sweet and generous touches like personalized cookies in the color of the bridesmaids' dresses, attention to dietary issues, and delicious food! The hospitality was exceptional and everyone felt relaxed and welcome. Highly recommend!
We spent 3 nights at The Gibson House. The owners were very friendly and knew a lot about the history of not just the house, but the town of Kernersville. The lady gave us great suggestions for food in the area and recommended we go to The Reynolda House which was really cool! The breakfasts were very tasty and some of the items also had a history. We definitely recommend a stay there.
I'm a local to Kernersville and heard good things about the Gibson House, so I booked a night with my husband. We stayed in the peach room! The bedding was silky smooth, had nice pillows, and I liked that the mattress was not too firm nor too soft. We had a cozy, quiet evening just like we hoped for. The host, Darlene, even brought us fresh baked, delicious cookies! Breakfast was a dream. We got the whole spread: coffee, banana bread, swedish cinnamon roll, fruit parfait, sausage patty, and the best part pineapple upside down french toast. The owners are so thoughtful and kind they really make your stay an all around wonderful experience. You are doing yourself a favor booking a stay here!
My kids love Pure Taekwondo! Master Posey is amazing with the kids and you can tell he really loves what he does! He treats every kid with the same respect and attention that he would like to receive from them and I think that goes a long way.
