this was my first time at a self-pour gastropub and it was an awesome experience! the staff's friendliness made it even better, and being a cider enthusiast, I was thrilled with the selection.
dining with friends, i went for the fried pickles, and they were pure delight! definitely planning a return trip to explore more of their tempting menu offerings.

The atmosphere is perfect for a great night out! Self pour drinks and ordering through your phone makes your dining experience self paced and relaxed! I started to take pictures of the food we ordered.. got too excited and ate the others before I could snap a picture! We tried multiple drafts, fried pickles, shrimp tacos, and wings- all so yummy! Highly recommend and we can’t wait to return!!
Two-story, self-pour pub. The selection is decent for a self pour bar, and the options for beer are great, but I’m hoping they can add more in the future. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food comes out quick after ordering thru the QR codes.
So excited about this place! The wings were soooo yummy and the burger was amazing! Pork belly tacos were also a huge hit! Love how they more than just beer options! Not a beer drinker? They have wine and seltzer options too! The staff is great and super friendly. Rooftop has an awesome atmosphere, perfect for any kind of party!
The Ghent is the next best place in norfolk! The cutest rooftop bar with string lights and such a chill vibe. Very clean restaurant & bathrooms as well. The staff is AMAZING! You pour our own drinks and order food on your phone but they find a way to help you out and chat along the way. I plan to host an event here - it’s that cute!
Loved the food and drinks but went to a roof top bar... and the roof top was CLOSED for private event. One of the last nice days and the main reason for going was to enjoy the roof top that was closed. Sad times! No flight options so suggest getting flight cups!
The GHENT, Well welcome to the NEIGHBORHOOD!!!! 🤓 What a GREAT first experience at this SELF POUR, automated operation. The place has a clean minimalism that works! Never wait on a server or a painfully slow bartender again....have your cell and order your food! The self pour check-in is at the host station to get your Pour Card. The rest is up to you!!
Okay, my instinct was shattered when I thought the focus would be on the libations, but the food was DELICIOUS! We enjoyed a generous Charcuterie with chef selected cheeses, cured meats, house made mustards seasonal jams and dipping bread. The Chicken Wings - 6 savory, tender chicken wings tossed and your choice of sauce, served with ranch dressing or bleu cheese dressing - served w/ fresh celery!!! The lightly battered Fried Pickles are served with southwest dipping sauce or ranch - YUM! And lastly, Prosciutto & Honey Pizza with mozzarella, shaved prosciutto, arugula, hot honey, red sauce, arugula and parmesan was soooo good!
Can't wait to go back to try other food items. Plenty of seating and the ROOT TOP is BACK!! Taps up & downstairs!!

My husband and I held our reception on The Ghent's rooftop bar last month - it was absolutely the perfect. Our initial venue fell through three weeks before our wedding and the staff didn't bat an eyelash at the last minute request for our Friday evening booking.
The entire staff was so kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire evening. They each went above and beyond to make our night feel special! We really enjoyed the ambiance of the rooftop, the fire pit tables were a big hit once it cooled down. Our guests definitely enjoyed the self-pour options!
The service alone would have warranted five stars but the food is to die for! There wasn't a single item we or our guests didn't enjoy and we munched on the leftovers for days after. Absolutely cannot recommend The Ghent more highly, for an event or just for dinner.
