This was our first time in Galveston and we stayed one night prior to a cruise. The Kaiserhof Suite was very spacious and had any amenity you could need. Graham, James, and Rosie were super friendly and accommodating. And the English breakfast was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend George Manor and plan on staying again when we cruise next.

Our experience at The George Manor was wonderful! We were going on a cruise and decided to stay here for a couple of days because it was very close to the port. The place was exceptionally clean, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service was impeccable. Graham, James, and Rosie were incredibly kind and attentive. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we look forward to coming back!

The George Manor is absolutely stunning. It's a lovely historical house with a beautifully maintained outdoor space. We were very warmly welcomed by Valerie, Graham and Michael (who is also the chef). Chef Michael very kindly gave us a map of Galveston and suggested ideas of things to do, places to visit and where to eat. We stayed for 1 night but would recommend staying for longer. The suite was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. We all slept very well. Breakfast was included and it was very good. It is child-friendly (we traveled with 2 children). We definitely recommend the George Manor to anyone looking to stay in the area.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying two nights at the delightful George Manor bed and breakfast. Its location was absolutely perfect - nestled in a quiet, historical neighborhood yet still walking distance to the beach and the lively Strand area. While I'm not much of a breakfast person, my partner raved about the lovely morning meal which included fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, potatoes, and bacon. The service and hospitality from the staff was truly top-notch. What made the George Manor so special was the beautifully manicured, gated grounds which provided a romantic atmosphere. The impeccable landscaping offered idyllic outdoor spaces to enjoy coffee or evening drinks. Our accommodations were comparable to a luxury apartment with all the amenities. The room was currently decorated yet still captured a comforting, homey vibe. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the entire suite oozed charm and sophistication. More than just well-appointed accommodations, the George Manor cultivated an environment that made us feel like we were staying with close friends rather than at a B&B. The hospitality created an inviting, intimate ambiance that's unmatched.

We stayed the night before our cruise out of Galveston on May 22, 2024. I have never experienced such care at a bed and breakfast. Michael and wife cooked us the best schnitzel and homemade spatzle I've ever had! And my mother is full-blooded German! Beg him to cook for you! You won't be disappointed. We paid them to store our vehicle and they shuttled us to our cruise! Very convenient. We received he best information about the city on the way too! We loved loved loved our stay. Not enough stars! We will definitely be back.

We chose the George for our 25th anniversary this May and enjoyed our stay immensely. . Being history buffs, we prefer staying in the older structures, but stairs were not in the cards just now. We chose a ground floor suite mainly for accessibility so we missed staying in the actual manor. In any case, everything was clean, comfortable and in ship shape. The grounds are lovely and the porch massive and well appointed. Tired from the drive and other last minute activities, we slept in knowing we might miss the breakfast hour which we ultimately did. But the host (grounds keeper/chef and I believe all around man Friday),, Michael, was kind enough to fix us a splendid breakfast and he also took the time to visit with us. The visit to the house was quite worthwhile. Our only complaint is the sad dreary gray paint that has crept in. It's mainly a millennial greige-- and kind of depressing. But the structure is large enough and well lighted to mostly offset that bit of nonsense. (Millennials decorating for Millennials). White would have been a more authentic choice. But aside from the grayness, we enjoyed our visit very much. And we thank Michael for making us feel at home, in style.

Set in an historic district, close to the Strand. This is a great place. Full of character. And Graham George and his team do all they can to make you feel welcome. My first night coincided with the Houston storm and i fell in wet mud on the street. The team insisted on washing my wet and muddy clothes. That's going the extra mile. Graham is English which is why you get Heinz beans with the great American breakfast on offer. I enjoyed sitting with him watching the football. A memorable experience.

We and friends stayed at the George Manor for Memorial Day weekend. We decided to have a low key and relaxed wedding while there. Valerie helped arrange it and made everything very easy. | The property is so pretty and very comfortable. It’s not far from The Strand, but far enough away to be extremely quiet and peaceful. Though what really made the stay so fantastic were the owner and staff. They were amazingly gracious and went above and beyond for their guests. | We opted to have dinner there after the wedding and the food was absolutely outstanding and the service was perfect. Between our guests, we tried most of the items available and everything was fantastic. The potato soup, escargot, and shrimp cocktail for the first course were huge hits and it just got better. I definitely recommend the Rouladen, which was completely new to me, and so good. Several guests had the Rugen and loved it. All of the desserts were delectable. I don’t think there is anything that Chef Michael could prepare that one would not be pleased with. | While I never made it down to breakfast, everyone else raved about it and on Sunday, Graham, the owner makes a traditional English breakfast. My new husband brought a muffin to me each morning and they were so good. I sat in bed, drank tea (which was provided in the room), ate my muffin, and read in the quiet peace of the property. | No review of the George Manor would be complete without out mentioning Rosie and James who accommodated all of our needs with warmth and kindness. James is so knowledgeable about the history of the area, I definitely recommend a conversation with him. | Our weekend was so much more than we ever imagined and we will always be grateful for this wonderful experience. | I have a feeling, we will be back to escape the fast pace of Houston.
