We have stayed in many B&Bs across the country and this one is in the top! My husband and I just spent 4 nights at the Gaslight Inn B&B celebrating our 43rd anniversary in October 2023. We stayed in the Sweet William room. This room is on the third floor (33 stairs to the top which we had no problem navigating multiple times per day), at the end of the hallway, with access to the shared balcony. The room has a seating area (couch, and table with fireplace which we didn't use due to warm weather), nice size ensuite bathroom. This room has no one next to you due to the arrangement of the top floor. The room was very quiet, comfortable bed and pillows. The mornings were very cool and we enjoyed opening the sliding door to enjoy the chilly morning air and sitting on the porch drinking tea and coffee. Breakfast is outstanding! HUGE, very tasty, good variety, and is a perfect start to your long day enjoying Gettysburg and the Battlefield. They take great pride in serving the guests with a friendly, courteous staff (breakfast is served all at once, with a fabulous table setting including candles!). We so enjoyed our breakfast sharing our stories with other guests. We stayed for breakfast our last morning even though we had a long drive home. They offer coffee, soda, and tea 24/7. There is a refrigerator that is shared with all the guests - we did use this as we purchased sandwiches for the long drive home. Parking is very convenient right behind the Inn on an alley. You can park and walk to restaurants and stores after touring the battlefield during the day. No need to feed meters with coins when staying here. The Inn is tucked away from the main street by a block which allows you to have a quieter outside environment when sitting on the large porch or the balcony. They tend to your room each day (make your bed, refresh towels if needed, empty garbage, etc.) which is unusual in a B&B. There is a historian that comes in on Tues. & Wed. to chat for an hour before breakfast! This was one of the highlights of our stay. I highly recommend this B&B! We will be back hopefully soon!
We did a mid week stay, Tuesday to Friday in October. It was absolutely wonderful. The hosts were friendly, great sitting areas to meet other guests, fresh baked goodies that are different each day, and the breakfast is well prepared and delicious. Wednesday morning there was a guest speaker that answered all of our questions about the Gettysburg Battle, civilian life, and places to visit. We stayed in The Sweet William Room which had a fireplace, porch and both inside and outside entrances. The inn is very central and walkable to downtown Gettysburg and all the shops/restaurants etc. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!
We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful stay. The hosts were helpful and friendly, making themselves available but not "in your face". The house and grounds are beautiful with private parking. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a private bathroom. The food was delicious and beautifully served. We were grateful to have found such a gem close enough to everything we wanted to do while also being off of the "main" streets enough to allow privacy and peace. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.
This place is awesome! The owner was amazing and had so much knowledge about the Inn and Gettysburgh itself. And the breakfast? No shortcuts here. All is homemade. I have a gluten issue and he was able to accommodate with excellent results - from the GF brownies upon arrival to the GF creme brûlée french toast at breakfast. The Inn has its own parking lot and that is definitely a plus. Can't recommend this place enough!
Great location! On a side street from main area so can walk to downtown with shops and restaurants. Quick drive to battlefield. Place was super cute. Hosts are great. Lots of amenities. Bed was super comfy and gas fire place was nice. Shower pressure and heat was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, especially the cream brûlée French toast. Took one star away because we could hear our guy in the next room snoring and some loud cars driving down the street at night. So did not have the best sleep. Bring ear plugs!
My significant other and I stayed for our Anniversary. So many great things about this place? It was an adorable place. Staff was amazing. Cost was very comparable. Great location. Breakfast and snack/beverage selection was great and delicious. Would highly recommend and would go back here again!
We were only able to stay the one night at the Gaslight Inn and unfortunately had to leave before the breakfast but, it is a wonderful place to stay in Gettysburg. There is a nice common area with a fridge, ice, coffee, snacks and such and we were provided with a very nice 'take with us' breakfast because we had to leave earlier in the morning (breakfast is at 9am and we had a tour starting at that time). Micheal, our host, was most accommodating and very pleasant. We would highly recommend staying here. It's also very close to the downtown area (5 minute walk at most) and there is private parking available at the back....
A friend recommended the Gaslight Inn. It did not disappoint. 😊||A great experience. I called at the last minute, and fortunately got a hold of someone who said they had an opening. Jennifer greeted me upon my arrival. Jennifer provided me a good recommendation for a restaurant; It was an easy walk.|The room was clean, lovely and comfortable. Parking was very convenient.|| I appreciated the easy accommodations for my minor food requests. Coffee was available early, before breakfast was served . Most of the guests gathered on the comfortable porch and enjoyed coffee and conversation. The breakfast did not disappoint and conversation with the host and staff, along with the other guests was enjoyable.||Location is great if you plan to visit the Battlefield. ||I would definitely go again.

Lovely place to stay for a romantic weekend in Gettysburg! The owners greet you as you check in and share that same warm welcome each morning at breakfast! The breakfasts, especially the pastries, were wonderful and they even made gluten-free muffins
Stayed here a while back and had a great stay. My friends and I booked the attic room hoping for a paranormal experience. We were not disappointed. Twice during our stay we heard a "knock, knock" on the slanted ceiling at the top of the stairs on th

This was a magnificent monument with a great view of the battlefield. You must walk up the spiral steps and check out the metal work along the way. Once youâre out on the balcony area, the view is spectacular. Highly recommended to spend a few minu
This is the best ice cream! A friend told us to be sure and stop here when we traveled to Gettysburg. I'm so glad we did. We had fresh peach in a waffle cone. It was the best fresh peach we've ever had, and the waffle cone was so fresh. Yum!!
An obvious must see site on your Gettysburg visit. The house is beautiful and when you step inside, you can just feel the history. Very cool to think about Robert E Lee planning his war strategy here. And how he mustâve spent his time during this e
We heard the bridge was haunted, just wanted to go check it out. It's actually a beautiful area and quite relaxing. No weird vibes for us, even though some folks were doing a paranormal investigation. We sat and watched their work, but really just en
