The French Press - Belmar - Breakfast restaurant in Lakewood - 7323 W Alaska Dr, USA

I found this unique restaurant in downtown Lakewood one Friday morning. This breakfast place not only has gluten-free options but is vegan or dairy free as well. I loved the food here, and the atmosphere is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful when ordering too. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The only negative is parking. Make sure the park in the parking garage on the adjacent street is free. Infront of the store is pay only. It's not the restaurants fault, but I need to mention. Go and check it out for yourself and find out.

Delicious breakfast and brunch. Everything we ordered was seasoned and flavorful. You can get anything from pancakes to sandwiches and soups. I’ll be making this a regular lunch spot. Location is super busy and have to pay for parking unless you park at garage and walk. Not a ton of seating but enough. Hot chocolate for this cold weather a must.

This is a nice place for breakfast. Not “blow your mind best I’ve ever had” but solid and consistent and gets the job done. The portion sizes were good and the service was fast. We waited in line longer than it took to get our food. Our table mostly had omelettes. They were good and made with pick your own ingredients. I also ordered a lemon cheesecake scone. It only had a HINT of lemon or cheesecake but I still liked it. Cute outside dining is available. Would recommend.

It's kind of rare to feel like you got your money's worth at restaurants anymore, but the Fresh Press really killed it for me. The servings were very generous in both drink and food. I had their vegan biscuits and gravy- very Southern style with dense homemade biscuits and greens. It was so good. I have some food allergies and when I inquired the chef just whipped out his recipes and let me take a look! I was so appreciative. My partner got one of the vegetarian options and he was thrilled with it as well. Ill definitely be back!

The Almond Tres Leches French toast is delicious. The Chilaquiles was good and spicy and that Burrito is huge but delicious as well. My only advice, go with a regular egg not scrambled.

The tres leches French todas was good but too much tres leches with the French toast. It also came with a side of 2 eggs a day 2 bacon which matched well with the sweetness. The burrito was really good, the right amount of spice and savory. They were dog friendly as we sat outside in the patio

I hate to give a “meh” review because I used to really enjoy coming here but I feel like it’s fallen off in the last few months. For a place which calls itself “The French Press”, the coffee is really not good at all. The drip is bitter, and the espresso drinks are subpar. Even ordering the coffees with syrup they are just not good and taste watery but also bitter somehow. Today I got the “all American breakfast” and I got only 1 tough sausage patty and lukewarm eggs that tasted like they came straight out of a carton. I used to love eating here but lately everything is just greasy and kind of bland. Overall, not impressed

A pretty good meal. I just wish there was more protein based stuff for the vegan crew. A lot of carbs for me. But I am so happy there are vegan choices, it's hard to find a place with vegan pancakes and vegan savory dishes for breakfast. It travels well even though I am pretty far. Thanks so much.
