Such a great place. Hosts are amazing. Well-kept, a gem. I’ve stayed here twice now, and the simplicity and low-key vibe is just perfect. You’re in nature, but you can walk to town…..great restaurants, beach, great strolling town. The inn itself is warm and inviting. They provide you with everything you need, and leave you alone as well. Recommend highly!

The hosts are very accommodating. Ask, and they will do their best to help out. We brought a concern to their attention and they immediately remedied the problem. They were very willing to talk about the area and make recommendations.| It is a less than 10 minute easy walk to town. Parking in town is a bear, so walk! The breakfast may not be made to order, but you certainly don't need to take an uber to town to have breakfast as one reviewer said they did. Juice, coffee, tea, fruit, oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, English muffins, pastry, yogurt, jams and more. | Saturday night there was a lot of road noise. We learned our lesson and used the provided sound machine the next three nights and we didn't notice the road noise as much.| Our bathroom was on the other side of the common area. If you are shy, stay in one of the rooms with a private bath. We got lucky in that the other people staying in the inn never left their room. And for two nights, we were the only guests. We never saw any other guests.| The yard is not well-kept. Don't let that stop you from staying here as the interior of the house is old, but well maintained. We had no safety concerns walking home from the downtown area after dark.

Great place if you want quaint and charming. The hosts were very pleasant. Breakfast included pastries from a local bakery, hardboiled eggs, drip coffee, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much and I'd stay here again next time we're in the area.

Big thanks to Andrew and Rebecca for opening their charming inn to my family and our friends. They were super accommodating, took time to show us around the house and garden, and shared local knowledge galore. We enjoyed the cozy feel and the proximity to town was perfect. If you’re a light sleeper, I would recommend bringing earplugs (though they did provide some!). Thanks again!

Excellent bed and breakfast, very much enjoyed our stay! Our hosts were very friendly, interesting and helpful with providing the best ways to travel to NYC and with identifying good local restaurants. I love the attention to detail, thus providing the best comfort as possible.

My daughter and I were doing college tours and I needed a one-night stay so we could visit Stony Brook, a 10 min drive away. Andrew and Rebecca were very friendly and accomodating. We stayed in the Cove. It was a cozy, comfortable and clean stay and I loved the decor. The kitchen was well-stocked and it had everything we could ever need. I definitely recommend this place and would come back here again!

Located very close to downtown Port Jefferson and the ferry, the Fox and Owl Inn is a beautiful Victorian Bed & Breakfast. We had our own bath with tub & shower and the bed was very comfortable . The room and common area were beautifully decorated and the "innkeepers" Rebecca & Andrew, were very friendly and accommodating. Waking up to freshly made breakfast and hot coffee was an added treat! Free onsite parking was a bonus as well. We'll definitely be back! Bea and Bob

The Fox and owl is simply a lovely b&b! Anything and everything you could want or need is provided by the gracious hosts! The rooms are comfortable and private, breakfast is very accommodating and shared spaces are welcoming! If you are looking for a lovely getaway look no further!
