A group of colleagues and I chose The Fourth Bore for a recent luncheon. As there were five of us, we were seated at the large center table. It was a high table but had plenty of space. We started off with two of the Bavarian Pretzels with beer cheese. I ordered the Fish and Chips. I really enjoyed the batter. Rather than the traditional batter on the fish, these were crusted with panko or similar breading. Very good. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. It was a great meal and we all enjoyed our orders. If you're in the area, give The Fourth Bore a try. The next time I go, I'd like to give their extensive beer menu a try. Thumbs Up!
Visited around 2pm on a Saturday and was seated right away despite being busy. They have a wonderful outdoor patio with lots of seating, tvs for entertainment, great music on weekends, and they are dog friendly! The atmosphere was enjoyable. The servers are all very friendly and attentive, quick service with a smile. The menu didn't have as much variety as I'd like for chicken options. Tried the grilled chicken sandwich which was good, love the fries here especially the Cajun. The Philly cheesesteak was the winner at our table. Love the housemade lemonade and fresh brewed tea. Would highly recommend and will be back!
We decided we would try the Fourth Bore after an appointment in the same area, so we looked up the menu on Google ahead of time and found an entree that sounded like a really good pick! But when we got to the restaurant, we found out the entree posted was no longer available. It ended up being fine because we chose new plates and were NOT disappointed!! The food was very fresh and delicious! And our server was friendly (and very good looking!) and was quick to check on us for any need. If you're in the Orinda area, I highly recommend the Fourth Bore for drinks and dining!!
We chose to sit outside and the accommodations were good. The server came quickly and was very attentive. She made recommendations for my wife’s food and wine as well as my beer choice. Her recommendations were excellent. The food came quickly and was well prepared. My Philly cheesesteak was excellent as was my wife’s salad. We definitely would eat there any time we’re in Orinda!
Love this place for co-workers get togethers!! The best server ever!! Food is awesome as well 😀. We will do this again!!
Deliciously messy, juicy, flavorful food; fun and friendly atmosphere and very nice and knowledgeable staff. The owner personally tastes and creates the wine list. We WILL be back.
First time visit last night. Drink and food menus are full great selections. I really enjoyed my flat iron steak. Kid friendly seating outdoors. The staff was wonderful and left no question unanswered. We will be going back. I recommend The Fourth Bore Rap room for a filling dinner or a date night stop.
This place is genuinely great. Location is nice, venue is super pretty, food was delicious and beer selection is huge. Will come back for sure.

Hanazen oferred some of the most delicious fish and housemade seasonings I have ever tasted. The service was incredible and the food was beyond memorable. Be sure to call and make a reservation for a meal you won't soon forget.
I am short of words to describe the experience. I would say it brings out the kid inside me. Lovely place for kids and adults alike if you're into little toy steam trains. There's something about it that makes you happy. I wouldn't be overstating it
We have been going to Cal Shakes productions since we were just college kids. It is a lot of fun! We always get there at 6pm, grab a picnic table, and eat a wonderful potluck. For a while we got super fancy and once even brought a fancy candlestic
Trail with some elevation gain. Hiking towards the peak gives you some beautiful views of the bay area. Not all trail is shaded so wear a cap or hat if you can. It was not busy on a Friday evening.
A jewel of a performance location. We attended the first annual Bluegrass festival in early August. Although billed as 3 hours, it was an 8 hour band-filled jam. Topped off with a swirling pink and magenta sunset behind the stage, silhouetted by the
Great scenic place for a walking hike. Trail is easy - most of it is paved and relatively flat. But, on a clear day you have a great view of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and much of the bay. Trail is dog friendly. As a side note, if you wa
We went here for our holiday dinner. The ambience was cozy and I loved the high booths for great privacy. The staff was helpful with answering questions. We ordered Chicken tikka sizzler, chicken korma, dal makhani and Shaba special naan. You can ask
Cute and cozy place. Neatly maintained. Great menu options. The taste is amazing, kids loved the place. Great service. Loved the bhel puri and bhel puri. Even the chai is perfect. I really hope they continue maintaining the quality and standard.
It's a miracle this place has survived - only through the active efforts of the community and the interest in the histori Art Deco character. Places like this are important to frequent and support. You'll never know how long they'll be around. There
