Used to be a nice place to stay when I visited Fort Lauderdale now it's nit available anymore
Now this is a Beautiful scene! The bar eloquently wraps around the stage where they have live music. I went to see a friend sing and I was very impressed with the whole atmosphere. The drinks are not cheap but they make them stiff. The food is very good as well. There is an outdoor area as well. The overall experience is worth the trip.
For a real traveler, at the $80 or so a night in July, you understand what you might be getting. For the positives: the staff was very inviting and friendly. They got us in quick and when I wanted to find a bite to eat in the evening, they gave me simple directions to local places and offered delivery options if I didn't want to go out. I found the bed to be very comfortable, and felt like it was clean. Good wireless service. I left before they put out the breakfast, so can not comment on that but the setup looked like it would be pretty good. Now for the things a little less great. I was told that it used to be a hospital, and probably from the 50's or around that time. The room setup is more like a dorm, with a large central area surrounded by doors too rooms on the perimeter. Room size is nice, but as other noted, my carpet had a number of stains, a small TV for the room size, the shower was just that...a shower and no tub, and not terribly large but still adequate. Decor in the central area is not terribly great, nor is the room. But both are adequate for the expectation at this price. If you are looking for the Hilton, don't even consider this place. But if you are price conscious then this is probably not a bad option for you.
I do a lot of traveling and have come across some bad hotels but this definitely ranks at the top for me of the worst hotels. The pictures on the website look WAY BETTER than what I saw at the actual hotel. I think this used to be a hospital that they turned into a hotel and it definitely has a hospital feel to it. It didn't seem like much of a renovation happened in turning it into a hotel, more like they just slapped some paint on the walls, put in some carpet and furniture and called it a hotel. The rooms had a "creepy" feel to them, that had me and my friend nervous about staying the night. We were only there for the night so we made it work. The window did not have any curtains so we were fully exposed for everyone on the outside to see what we were doing in our room, so much for privacy...smh. The bathroom looked old and had a stand up shower only with a VERY basic plastic shower curtain that you find at one of those cheap motels and in hospital rooms. Good thing I had toiletries because the ones they provided looked sketchy. The room and the hotel had a Hospital feel and look and I definitely would not stay here again. I gave it 2 stars because the towels were clean and the bed sheets appeared to be clean as well. If your okay with a hospital feel and just looking for basic needs this would probably suit you just fine.
It's different! I'm not really sure how I feel about this place. The lobby and room were clean. However, there is a no alcohol and no smoking policy. Guests have to sign an acknowledgement of the policy at check-in. The building appears to be an old medical facility/hospital, so the interior is not that of a typical hotel. It's also a bit dated. Not many guests, so it's fairly quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. If price is your primary concern and you don't drink or smoke, then the place is probably fine.
Hotel is a little odd. It has a dialysis clinic in part of the building and a charter school in another part of it. They also appear to have a church group that comes in on Sunday. The group is quite loud and prepares strong smelling food. The smell of said food permeates throughout the entire floor and actually made me quite nauseous upon smelling it. I have no problem with them having a church group there holding service, but maybe it should be held in a different part of the multi-purpose hotel/facility than where the guest rooms are. It appears to be either an old hospital or nursing home. It is a Christian owned hotel. There is no alcohol or tobacco products permitted or you will incur a surcharge. That rule actually made me happy since I was in the area to have a procedure done and had to stay until I had my follow-up appointment so I thought it would make for a quieter recovery, that was until the aforementioned group showed up on Sunday. Overall the room itself was decent, the bathroom could have used a little updating. What's supposed to be a soft blanket in between the sheet and comforter has a weird texture to it, like it was either bleached too many times or the care instructions weren't followed. The floor that we were on the rooms were in a big circle. In the middle of the circle area (which appears to maybe be an old nurses station area) was a common room area with couches, tables, TV, etc. If I had to stay there again, I would do so, but I certainly would prefer to stay elsewhere if I have a choice. The price of the room wasn't bad.
Don’t usually post reviews, but after reading some bad reviews I thought I’d give my 2 cents.
The forum definitely isn’t a 5 star hotel.
If you are on vacation and your hardly in your room, than this place is perfect. It’s close to everything and the highway is right around the corner. The room I was in had an amazing ac, dressers, closets, fridge, ironing board and iron, very comfortable bed, blow dryer, microwave, fridge, & tv.
For my needs it was perfect. Not expensive, close to everything, had a comfortable bed (slept like a champ), was cool in hot Florida weather, bed changed with clean bedding every day, clean towels every day and friendly staff. They provide you with a breakfast snack in the mornings and greet you all the time. The look isn’t modern but it’s clean and the staff is great!
Stayed here for 2 nights when I was having some work done to my vehicle after having some issues while travelling. Its a converted hospital which you can tell, but it works. The room was clean and the desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Very secure with keycard access into the hotel as well as on each floor. The breakfast was surprisingly better than most other free breakfasts you can get. Good assortment of muffins, pancakes, cereal, eggs, and drinks, etc. The equipment all worked as well. I would stay again if I am ever in the area.
Dog friendly. Really nice rooms. Full size fridge. Had a great stay. Be aware that parking is in the public garage next to the hotel. It costs less to add the cost into your stay instead of paying the parking directly. Short walk to the beach and pie
We were only there for a short time and never got service - we had the do not disturb placard up.
The hotel itself is breathtaking inside. The fit and finish of the furnishings and finishes are all top notch. The carpet is soft and clean. The counte
The team of coaches here are phenomenal. They are super friendly, know their training program well, and help you to execute it. I recently worked with Henry and Travis and I feel as though l have known them for years. They are awesome and will help y
