This place is Absolutely Amazing! The full parking lot every night should be a clue something great is consistently happening here. The staff is great. Super friendly and just good people. The CHEF is Awesome. The food is delicious and plated picture perfect. Kinda small inside but is never a problem. Atmosphere is very relaxing. It's not super fancy but I fit in just fine. I highly recommend this place!
One of my favorite dive bars. Good craft beers on draft. The weekend brunch is the best! Got to try the biscuits and gravy. Also $5 burgers and trivia on Thursday nights! Great spot.
Good food and a great locals bar/pub. It is rather small inside, but always busy. Food is good and reasonably priced. One of the better spots to get food that is not a chain restaurant. Alcohol is reasonably priced to ensure having a good time without breaking the bank.
The burgers here are always amazing! Seriously the best I've had from coast to coast. Perfectly seasoned, cooked, and served piping hot with fresh fries every single time. The place may not look like much on the outside, but it's what's on the inside that counts. Half bar, half comfy eatery with a fireplace and plenty of tv's.
I had a great experience my first time here at The Fogcutter! The waitstaff was very nice and the atmosphere of the place seemed to be a nice low key kind of setting. The build your own burger special was excellent and the time from ordering to the table was very quick! They give you very nice portions and I know I was taking some home with me after my visit. I can see myself coming back here for sure. The different events they host make it a great place to come back to time and time again.
I took a friend to dinner to Fogcutter on a Wednesday night. We ordered the chicken tenders which were plump and nicely breaded. Since we enjoyed them so much we decided to share the cod and fries. Again, the batter was excellent. Lastly, we enjoyed a thin crust sausage pizza. The sausage had great flavor with a nice crispy crust. Our server did an awesome job! I love this place!!!
Fogcutter is a long time corner bar and restaurant. Coming here is like stepping back in time to what the old Lake County felt like when I first moved here in the 90's. The food is pretty much a typical bar menu, with all the popular deep fried offerings, a decent burger and interesting daily specials. Portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, and the service is always friendly.
Classic dive bar feel with dive bar prices! Definitely be on the lookout for the specials, they are different every day of the week and are definitely worth stopping in for! We love the Thursday $5 burger special
Always looking for new places and supporting local establishments. It's a small breakfast menu but the food did not disappoint. We had a rib eye and eggs, a filet and eggs, and my daughter had eggs and ham and ordered French toast on the side.
My first stop at this brewery. I was hoping to find a couple Oktoberfest beers on tap. To my excitement, they had FIVE!! I tried three there, and got crowlers of the other two to take home.

Finally found the most authentic Mexican food in Lake Villa! My go to dish is the pico de gallo talapia ð The tacos are sooo tasty too! And the biscuits and gravy are excellent! The margarita on the rocks ð super tasty! Love this place! Perfect
