I enjoyed my time at the Fish House. We went on Christmas Eve and the restaurant was very busy and the outdoor seating was closed. We had about a 15 minute wait to be seated (they didn't take a reservation before hand) and we were seated at a few smaller tables pushed together for our 9 person group. The long table seating was unfortunate because it makes it hard for everyone to talk and hear each other. The restaurant was slightly loud due to the amount of people talking, but I appreciated the fun atmosphere, without it being too boisterous. The restaurant has two large fish tanks with many different sized and colored fish. These tanks really add to the aesthetic and nod to the name. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive to our large group. The crab cake appetizer was absolutely delicious with so many complimentary flavors. The wedge salad had a lot of great components typical for the dish, however, the combination of the bacon and specific dressing made it a bit too salty for my taste. Overall we had a great time celebrating a family member's birthday. I would suggest visiting on a slower day or when the outdoor seating is open for a more cohesive time together.
First time here and was pleasantly surprised. Food and service were great. I came with my husband and 2 young daughters. Food was reasonably priced. We ordered crab cakes, sushi, and catfish. Kids meals were reasonably priced although the kids pizza was $10 and I’m not sure why.
Hubby loved the gumbo. I lived the “real” California roll. Our server was nice and food came out quickly. Nice environment. We definitely plan to return.
Love this place. Great cozy atmosphere. Not your typical bar/restaurant. I love that there aren't lots of t.v.s and sports shows and loud music blaring. Just cozy, warm and kinda romantic but not formal. And the food is absolutely delicious. Stop by and Mrs. Sharon in the gift shop. She is an absolute joy.
Had the Salmon Oscar while my 11 year old daughter put away the 14 oz Rib Eye. Started with half dozen Oyster Rockefeller. These were big fresh oysters that tasted real good with the creamy spinach and their other trimming. I appreciate my water being kept full with a slice of lemon. Had to request lemon a few times and beverages topped off.
My next visit I'll have the Grits a Ya Ya. That looked real good.
We stopped here for a work lunch on a weekday. There was plenty of seating available. There's a good selection of menu items, and we really enjoyed each dish. I had the grits a yaya, and it was a tasty take in a classic shrimp and grits dish.
We had a great time tonight! This place is super cozy, and the food is great! Really easy to get to from I10. Definitely give this place a shot it was awesome! We will definitely be back.
We’ve lived here for quite some time and have never been to The Fish House. We decided to try it for dinner before the rush. Ordered the fried green tomatoes, dozen assorted oysters, their “world famous” grits, and the grouper. The fried green tomato’s had really great taste but 3 tiny slices for $15 were ridiculous. Way over priced for the portion. The oysters were….eh. They were struggling with flavor. They just seemed extremely bland. The grouper was amazing. For $45, it should be. It tasted really good. Wasn’t dry and had plenty of flavor. The “world famous” grits fell extremely short. I’ve had far better grits from places around Pensacola. The environment was great and the waitress was ok. All and all, I wouldn’t come back.
We enjoyed our visit. Sunday brunch offered usual fare. The atmosphere is great. The service was excellent. My husband enjoyed his omelet. Although he said his hashbrown casserole weirdly had a hint of cinnamon. My shrimp and grits were good but disappointing. Felt like I could get the same thing at Another Broken Egg or another chain. That's not what I was expecting. Definitely had better. House citrus draft was REALLY good, and I'm not a big beer drinker. Prices are reasonable. Will probably go back to try different things. Very pleasant eating by the water!

This is a great place for seafood. The service was wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. I ordered the Fried Gumbo Salad and it was LOADED with seafood â essentially a fried seafood platter over a salad (fried oysters, shrimp, crawfish, and okra)
