The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Got in quick. Was very clean. I had the Bbq Burger. It was very delicious. Loved the fries. The homemade pickles were to die for. Husband got the Shrimp Polenta. It was so good. The Fried Green Tomatoes were pretty good. Was more batter than tomato. His Jack & Coke was perfect. He said the Bloody Mary needed a little more flavor. We poured the juice off my cup of pickles into the Bloody Mary. Made it better. The Cheesecake was so good. The Chocolate Cake was even better. Glad we stopped to try it while traveling
Full disclosure: this review was a 4/5 until I saw that Captain America watches you go to the bathroom. That bumps it up.
I had a Burger, medium rare, with an egg sunny side up, cheese and bacon and a loaded baked potato. My wife had BBQ shrimp with a fried grits ball.
The burger was very good, if messy thanks to the egg (which isn't a complaint). Baked potato was good, but even though it was hot, it didn't melt the cheese very well; some types of cheese don't melt super easy. The shrimp were a little plain, which implies most of the flavor comes from the BBQ sauce, which was good but very fishy. The fried grits were delicious.
As an appetizer, we had cheese and bacon fries with sour cream and a side of ranch. While they look a little plain, they are actually delicious also; the cheese sauce was very good (it had dripped to the bottom of the fry pile).
Overall a nice hybrid casual restaurant with a nice taste; the decor was tasteful, but the staff were comfortable in T-shirts and jeans. And, most importantly of all, Captain America watch you potty.
First, the service was wonderful and personable. Our food came out super timely and to perfection. The portion was generous and very well worth it. I got the fish blackened redfish with potatoes and greens beans. The fish was thick and cooked perfectly. My friend got the shrimp po-boy and a loaded baked potato. She was pretty good.
I've eaten here a few times while in Monroe for business. Very friendly staff and everything very well prepared and presented. Came with a party of 5, all ordered different dishes, and everyone was happy with their meals. Great food and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
We had an absolutely amazing experience at Fat pelican.
Ore office had our annual Christmas party there and the service was fantastic and the food was amazing.
My wife and I got the specials. The BBQ SHRIMP BOURBON SAUCE WAS THE BEST THING!
The staff was very friendly. I ordered an American hamburger cooked to order. It was deliciously juicy. The loaded fries were just to good to stop eating!
*UPDATE: One of my new favorites is the black and bleu burger with redfish instead of beef. We always get takeout from here for work. They've never messed up the orders and it's always fast and friendly. Their salmon with roasted veggies and polenta is soo good. If you want something heavier, they have the best onion rings and fried shrimp in town,
Went here for a Christmas party. Had a great time. Food was good service was prompt for a large group.
Man, oh, man. When I think of good food and where I should travel to eat good food, Monroe, Louisiana, doesn't even crack the top 100 on my list. But after eating at Parish, Monroe is in my top five! Hidden away in an industrial area, Parish comes up
Came here for some grilled oysters after a disappointing stop at another spot. Place was very nice. Great view of the river. Great service and the oystersâ¦. Chefs kiss! The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was bomb too!
We just popped into Okaloosa for a cocktail and an appetizer and ended up spending a couple hours there and having a full family meal. Payton and Emma took care of our party of 9 people perfectly. We loved the Rock Start martini, the meatballs, and t
10-14-18 dinner time. So Iâve never tried this place, letâs stop. The ladies at this restaurant were super nice, sociable and helpful. I let the cashier pick my meal. I didnât care for what I got but it wasnât bad just not me. The restaurant
I came out and tour the apartments I met with this lady name Kendra. She was very nice and sweet! Also very professional. She showed me around the apartments. I was very pleased at what I seen. I signed my lease the same day! Highly recommend if you
Our kids (ages 11 & 7) really enjoyed our quick visit to this awesome military and aviation museum! First of all itâs totally FREEâ¦.canât beat that! Secondly the staff were so friendly and walked us around each room, answering questions and sho
Just had a quick hour to spend, and glad we did! There was a program promoting hunting and fishing while we were there, so it was pretty loud and busy. But one of the park attendants caught us and filled us in on where to go for the short hour we had
This is about the only place in Monroe that you can find hot tamales. There is another place but they don't stay open year round. We have been eating at Southside Coney Island for triple digit years. Yes try them out. You won't be disappointed.
Place is usually easy to get in and out of. Frozen meals make busy days' dinner easy. Better than frozen grocery store, not quite homemade. Bakery items are always fresh and good.
So glad I found this place to bring my grand baby! So much for kids to do and see. Alot of science and hands on experiences. Puppet show availability, EMS learning, mini fire department. I would recommend this place to anyone with small kids. We wer
