I have stayed many times at The Farmington Inn over the years, and I love it! The entire team is wonderful - always professional, friendly, accommodating and efficient. It feels like home every time I visit!|The Inn is centrally located in historic and beautiful Farmington Village off Main and Garden Streets. The rooms are nice, with comfy beds, and a full breakfast included. There is an excellent restaurant, Fork & Fire, across the street (yes, you can walk via the crosswalk!), along with a Starbucks, and Naples Pizza. Very good local restaurant, Piccolo Arancio, is literally out the door, across the parking area. Tiara Nails, a nice nail salon is also right next door, should that be of interest!|The Hillstead Museum and its stunning grounds, the Stanley-Whitman House museum, and the gorgeous historic houses on Main Street, and further historic points of interest, are worth the visit or walk by! |Thank you, Farmington Inn Team, for all you do!
We expected a charming hotel in the interesting town of Farmington, but some aspects did not measure up. The hotel is on a side hill, so that the east side of the hotel sits below grade. The window in the first room we were shown was high on the wall and offered a view of the pickup truck bumper parked just outside. We then got a nice room on the second floor, not overlooking the parking lot. The bed was comfortable and the bath fine. The hotel has several levels with stairs. We did not see an elevator. The free breakfast was minimal, with no fresh, hot offerings. The staff was very nice and tried to accommodate guests' needs. There is an excellent Italian restaurant right next door.||p.s We made our reservation with "bookonline.com" who added an unexplained $38 fee, in addition to the $34 state and local taxes. When I contacted them, we got a very polite letter suggesting we thoroughly review terms and conditions before purchase.
We stayed here while attending a wedding in the next town, and our experience was fantastic. One of the more comfortable beds I've slept in in a hotel, and the front desk attendant was fantastic. It was very quiet, even though by all measures it was full that evening, there was no running up and down the halls, or slamming doors late. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anybody staying in the area.
If you've dreamed of spending the night at a senior living center, this is your place. Everything feels like an old folks home- from the hallways to the fireplace foyer with elevator music, rooms with dingy wallpaper, old style lamps and worn out furniture, etc. Thin walls meant hearing neighbors chat. Building exterior and parking lot is beat up - needs updating. Breakfast was adequate, not great. Convenient location for Hartford access. On busy road with lots of traffic. Good hot water in shower. $10 "convenience fee" at check-in added on. Shame on you! - not stated in original booking. Will not stay again.
If you’re an old soul, you’ll feel at home. It is home Quiet. Relaxing. Perfect for a stay. Do what you need to do. And come back next time. Breakfast is your standard fair. Waffle maker. Eggs and meats. OJ and apple juice. Water pressure is good. Free coffee and tea. Quaint little getaway. I will stay here again since I just get to the room to sleep and out early for work.
It is a step back into the past a bit. And it also isn't a Hilton or Radisson. But that being said, it's a nice place. This is our fourth time staying here and is usually our goto place. They offer a decent selection for breakfast which is great if you have kids. No there isn't a pool on site. Within 15 min of places to eat, shopping, and highway.
This boutique hotel shows some age, but for the price it's an excellent value. We stayed here for 3 nights. Our stay got off to a bad start when the TV in our room was broken. But they quickly gave us another room which was fine. We had a king suite, a large room with a sofa and two comfortable chairs in front of the large flat screen TV. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also large, with a standard tub/shower. One issue was that the bathroom fan (runs automatically when light turned on) was extremely loud---very annoying.||The hotel sits on a busy highway a few blocks away from the Farmington town center. It's only a 5 minute walk to the lovely Farmington River. The first room we had fronted the highway, and there was a fair amount of road noise. The second room did not face the highway, and was quiet. Note that there is no elevator here. There's plenty of free parking. Breakfast is self-serve, similar to a Hampton Inn, but with better choices. It was fine for us. The fitness room was very basic---in a small room with only one treadmill. When I used the treadmill in the morning, the water jug was empty. Staff were generally friendly, especially in the breakfast room. ||Although there were issues as noted above, none of these were that significant. The price of our large king suite was comparable to a medium-priced chain hotel, but the room had much more of a luxury feel. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.
We were charged $60 in advance and then another $10 per day for resort fees. THIS IS NOT A RESORT!! No swimming pool and no bar. The extra $10 a day resort fee was for a continental breakfast that was advertised for free. The rooms are old and dingy. A big paint spill was in our bathroom. We had the top suite but it was so noisy couldn't sleep. We were never told fresh cookies were available in the afternoon which was also included the the "resort" fees. Not what we expected.

For such a small museum that not many people talk about, it has a lot to showcase. Monet's, Degats, Hokusai's, and everything original from the sheets to the entire library collection of books, I'm surprised there aren't more people coming to it. It'

I am blown away by the extreme attention to detail on every aspect of the event. My 40th surprise party was thrown at Farmington Gardens by my parents and husband and it is very obvious how much Katie listened to them and went above and beyond to mad
