I recently visited a friend who was staying at this hotel, and I was blown away by the hospitality. Although I didn’t stay overnight, the experience was remarkable. The host’s warmth and attentiveness were off the charts, making me feel right at home. I got to enjoy the made-to-order breakfast, which was delicious and personalized. The pool table was a great touch for relaxing in the evenings, and the deck offered an incredible view that was truly breathtaking. The host even invited me for coffee anytime, which was a kind gesture I plan to take up. Based on this experience, I am definitely looking forward to staying here myself in the near future! See you soon Sandy!!!
We attended a wedding in Hunter and had the good fortune of choosing the Fairlawn Inn for our overnight stay. Upon making the reservation we inquired whether it was possible to be granted an early check in. The proprietor immediately indicated it was entirely possible but said to check in a bit later in the week for confirmation. We did just that and were pleasantly informed our request would be granted. Upon our arrival we were greeted with the utmost friendliness and graciousness. Our host (proprietor) is the personification of customer service. The check in process was seamless as she escorted us to our lovely room. The entire facility is immaculate as well as warm and inviting. There is nothing that our hostess was unwilling to accommodate. From complimentary “snacks” and beverage to the included breakfast her objective is just to provide a pleasant and memorable experience. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend the Fairlawn Inn if you are planning a summer hiking escapade or skiing Hunter Mountain, you will not be disappointed.
Very Highly Recommend, the absolute best bed and breakfast ever❣️ Sandy was the most pleasant, hospitable and just fantastic host ever. If you are a fan of Victorian architecture you should absolutely have a stay. I just can't say enough good about my stay. The breakfast was custom ordered and fabulous 👌❣️ I will definitely be back for another stay in the Very near future. Thank you so very much Sandy ❣️
Sandy was the most hospitable host I have ever encountered in years of travel.|The Fairlawn in is a very quaint establishment with so much charm. The interior has so much detailed woodwork and eclectic decorations. I really appreciate my accommodations being upgraded upon my arrival. A+++++ to Sandy and to the Fairlawn Inn.
Sandy is the greatest innkeeper of all time! She is so kind, thoughtful, and generous. She made our stay at Fairlawn Inn one to write home about. We were in town for a wedding just down the road from Fairlawn. The inn is very historic and cute. We were drawing straws around who would drive to the wedding amongst our friends and Sandy actually drove us to and from the wedding. What a legend! Breakfast was wonderful and we slept great too. Can't recommend this inn enough. Thank you, Sandy!
We had two nights at the Fairlawn Inn and things could not have been better. |First, the building itself is as charming as can be. All was clean and welcoming. We stayed in the “Mountain Dew” room. Probably the smallest of all the rooms, but we found it cozy and inviting. Small electric fireplace added to the ambiance. |Sandy, who runs things, is absolutely lovely. She goes out of her way to accommodate you and had a warm disposition. Perfect for an inn keeper. She was kind enough to give us a tour of most of the other rooms as we were the last to check out. Each had so much character, I cannot wait to go back. |Breakfast at the inn is included and absolutely delicious. Orders are taken the night prior and having a home cooked meal was the way to go to start your day. |If you appreciate Victorian charm, great service, and an ideal location in Hunter Mountain, give this place a try. I am so glad we did and can’t wait to go back.
Fantastic Inn, right across the street from Hunter Mountain. Gorgeous historic inn, including a freshly made breakfast before we hit the slopes. And what a wonderful host - Sandy. How many women owned Inns are there- probably not too many! She was wonderful, welcoming, attentive and even celebrated my birthdays with us with us with a lovey cake.
I (37, M) stayed with my wife (36) and 2 kids (6 and 4) for a night on 3-2-24 at the Fairlawn Inn. We stayed in the Opal Room, which had a queen size bed and a trundle bed for the 2 kids. The Inn was absolutely perfect. Less than 3 minutes from the Mountain and less than 10 minutes from the town, it was in a great location. The Inn is an old mansion that has been converted into a bed and breakfast type hotel with 9 rooms, all with different quirks and features, plus some common leisure and dining space downstairs. They even made us our own custom breakfast in the morning before we went out to the mountain (or wherever you plan to go). We can't wait to stay there again next winter.
Mama's was recommended to us by locals so we tried it for dinner. We ordered the sesame-crust Margherita pizza. The place is lacking in ambiance, it's counter service, they only take cash, and they don't offer fountain drinks (only cans or bottles).
Lovely stay! Stayed in the lofted queen bedroom with the fireplace. The fireplace really made the room cozy. The lofted area allows you to keep the bed separate from the living area which was great for us. If youâre very tall it might be challengin
The burgers were fresh and tasted really good - a fine selection of beer on draft. Made a good whiskey sour. The locals were really friendly and my guys loved this place
