Very easy to get to, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly... I loved the variety of options as to which size room you wanted. ... from your own room, to sharing a mixed dorm with 7 others... all men/all women/mixed. Towels provided, rooms cleaned daily, lockers provided (you bring your own lock!) I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Absolutely awful! I couldn’t stay longer than 2 hours. The room I was staying in had someone living in there!! She said she had been there for one year and so it was like walking into someone’s home. As I was waiting in the communal area which by the way you have to go outside to get to I could hear other people talking about going to work and it was honestly like a homeless shelter. Dirty communal room, No lockers for items, there was a square in the wall so other residents kept popping their heads into the room, No plug sockets for those on the top bunk,Bathroom was tiny and you had to move the bed to get into it, short bus ride from manhattan but not the nicest area to walk through in the evening. Also unclear instructions on how to get to the hostel via bus from manhattan. Honestly the worst thing I have ever experienced and I ended up paying hundreds of pounds on my credit card to stay in manhattan in a decent and safe hotel. Do not stay here.. it needs to be sorted out big time! Foreword: I am very open minded and was completely up for and looking forward to the hostel experience. But this was completely another level

voilà le titre qui résume bien ! C'était juste HORRIBLE. J'ai détesté et pourtant j'en si fais un paquet des auberges dans le monde ! Pour résumer, je suis arrivé les draps étaient SALES quelqu'un avait dormi dans le lit d'ailleurs il était défait. La tête du coussin jaune pleins de tâches de bave. J'ai partagé ma chambre avec un sans domicile ça faisait 2 mois qu'il était là bonjour l'odeur. Impossibilité de changer de chambre car complet. Les toilettes et la douche sont dans la même pièce c'était très très très très sale, des cheveux, de l'urine, du savon séché... pensez à vos claquettes si vous voulez pas choper une saleté. Y avait des serviettes qui traînaient par terre. En 5 nuits les draps ont été changés AUCUNE FOIS. Et pour finir, personnel très très très désagréable. Heureusement que j'ai passé le maximum de mon temps à visiter New-York !!

First of all, we love to stay in hostels and since the last 10 years we travelled a lot around the globe and have seen many hostels! ||So for this one, price are good, wifi is good, excellent location. We slept in a dorm for 4. Beds was ok I guess, but no good curtain. There was red ants everywhere near the 201 room... The room was small, really smelly, moist, dirty...no blanket but had dirty clothes on it (from the other guest). All bathrooms was horrible : mold everywhere, curtain shower was ripped, smelly, dirty, one toilet was blocked and full of sh*t. And the security room for luggage isn't safe at all, everybody can go there. This hostel looks good only in pictures (old pictures from the opening I assume). Don't go there !!

This spot is convenient and cheap. The expectation is to at least have a clean room and bed sheets. As such, the room and bathroom were clean enough. Although the sheets were questionable (I had to ask for them to remove and provide "fresh" replacements). The customer service from the young lady at the front desk was adequate (she seemed to try her very best). I rate 3 stars as a result. I spent one day and a half and was delighted with Union City. It's a fresh alternative to Jersey. Food and shopping "Brooklyn ish". Nice vibe and neighbourhood. It was worth the US$80 boarding cost.

It was really dirty place. Bedroom was stinky and bathroom was disgusting. I felt like it was fortunate that I didn’t see the bed bugs. I think they didn’t even try to improve hostel at all. I never recommend you guys to use this hotel. Price can be reasonable. If you don’t have enough money, it could be the last option.

I have stayed at this hostel several times-I read the reviews over n over again. i was shocked /a budget hotel /hostel. This hostel has comfortable mattress-always clean ---staff was so nice- on top of things-- if something was not -they made sure to talk to a manager to get it fixed. Monica is friendly, hard worker, always making sure the guests are Happy n Satisfied--- Staff is friendly and helpful. Front desk always needs two people there to lighten the load and check in guests--when it gets busy, so the guests n employee feel at ease. I like this hostel /location is terrific/ affordable prices to eat and drink. Easy access into manhattan by buses or the light rail.Housekeepers are working daily-- to provide you with clean towels, bedding and clean room to comeback to after long day! I have NEVER experienced mice, rats ect. Honest truth! For the people, who eat in their beds at night munching on chips n food in their rooms could lead to small creatures / because of small space--should not be tolerated -you need to follow rules or dont stay here n complain!! I enjoyed my time at this hostel , it is Simple, Clean,Affordable,Location has easy access to everything you need/ provides you for fraction of cost!! Thank you Staff, and Management

this place is the worst place i have ever stayed. the room was very dirty. other guests seemed to be in lower class, uneducated people. they made a lot of noises and next to my room a guy brought a girl. i couldnt sleep. the bathrooms were extremely filthy. small and trashs all over the place, smelled bad. when i checked in and got to my room, the room was never cleaned before. sheets were not in their position, a little wet. some stains were on sheets and pillows. staffs were kind but very unprofessional.
