An outstanding tribute to Eric Carle. The bookstore and library have an excellent array of moving/meaningful kids' books. The artistic displays, throughout the museum and in the bookstore, are incredible. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
If you have kids, take them here. We had no kids with us and had an amazing time. A great way to spend an afternoon. Very interactive for all, I can home with a flip flap book........so fun!
We went on Friday and it wasn't very busy. They had yoga story time outside and it was a blast. Highly recommend this place for children 8 and under or kids of all ages.
This is a great museum celebrating the work of Eric Carle and other children's book illustrators. The exhibits change every 6 months or so, and the art studio always has a fun activity. Our family loves visiting!
Incredibly fun museum to visit that is not just dedicated to Eric Carle's artwork, but also many additional picture book artists. There are 2 galleries (the connecting one is closed at the moment), an auditorium, a cafe, a reading library, a play area for children, a gift store, and an art workshop. There is a lot to do and see, and it is a fun interactive museum that I'd highly recommend! The staff are really fun and nice, and there's even a fun scavenger hunt!
We love all of Eric Carle’s books, so we made it a point to stop during a recent trip. This is incredibly well done, and a nice tribute to Eric’s works. I recommend starting off to the left of the reception to learn about the man behind the books. That really helped frame the rest of the visit for us. I can see with younger kids, you could spend hours here. There is a artwork studio where kids can create their own pieces. There are grounds outside for a picnic. We went just to tour on our own, and we were done in a little less than an hour. I’m glad we stopped and visited.
Loved all the artworks using collage and tissue paper, something I hadn't appreciated before. The art that goes into children's books is absolutely beautiful. Aside from their collection, I also recommend this museum due to them incorporating interactivity for children: from opportunities to read a picture book, to drawing your favorite pet, and finally wrapping up the visit in the art studio! Also glad to see that the museum is enforcing masks.
As a picture book author/illustrator this place was equivalent to visiting the MET museum for picture books! The space itself is welcoming and open. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's worth visiting more than once because there are many opportunities for kids and adults alike to explore the fascinating work of Eric Carle and similar collage artists who are paid homage in two dedicated exhibition spaces. The book store houses a wonderful selection of picture books and gifts to delight any age. Will visit again soon!

My daughter and niece highly recommend this place. Unfortunately, Monday was their resting day. We finally get to get this place on Tuesday. Itâs definitely worth the wait. The restaurant is very small with just a few tables for dine-ins. The
This is my favorite park in Massachusetts. Easy to access as it's not far from I-91 and the amherst/Springfield areas. The park itself is huge and has many trails. The White blazed Metacomet-Monadnock trail is the highlight as it traverses the entire
This area is gorgeous. We saw a great blue Heron (sorry the pic quality is not great), and it was HUGE. Our dog loves it here, and the paths are all extremely well curated. It is apparent a lot of love and attention goes into making this place a gre
Coming here after a long day of work just hits the spot. Food was great to the beef being tender to Just enough seasoning. Small area but it has a cute disco ball for party time. My only complaint is the amount of rice compare to the beans portion. J
