The ENGLiSH Hotel, Las Vegas, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel - Featured Reviews (968)
My husband and I love going to Las Vegas, and we wanted to try a quieter location for our recent stay that was pet friendly. This has been our favorite stay thus far!! Very upscale with welcoming staff, especially for those with elevated status with Marriott. Even though it was just my husband and I on this trip, the rooms are well laid out and would be perfect for girls trips (very thought out amenities in the rooms and lots of great photo moments). I highly recommend this place, we were absolutely blown away.
Stylish, but not functional. I would not stay here again and don’t know why it has so many positive reviews. The room was either freezing with the air blowing down directly on the bed, or boiling when turned off. The ear plugs they leave you are a tip off. The air-conditioning units outside are so loud with a constant throbbing bass sound I needed to use them which I never ever use. The sink is small with no place to put anything. There’s no closet. No coffee maker, iron or ironing board, etc., the bed was a typical comfortable Marriott bed, but I would never stay here again. Thank god it was for only one night as I didn’t sleep at all.
Great place to stay while visiting Las Vegas. Super grateful for the staff. The room was amazing. Loved the showers. Also the Pepper Club has amazing food. Looking forward to another stay
We only stayed one night, but overall we were very impressed with the vibes. The bed was so so comfortable. We loved the no kid environment. The art around the building was so fun to explore. We didn't get a chance to try the hotel restaurant and regret it because we have heard it is the best brunch place and that the food is phenomenal.
By far the best of the best! I travel often so I have a certain level of expectations. The English exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff, very nice gift bag, beautiful hotel, and nice rooms! There’s one bus that is straight shot to the Las Vegas strip for those, like myself, that prefer not to stay on the strip. Downtown Fremont Experience is another amazing close option, but the hotel is located to many good restaurant and bars. This staff is what makes this hotel a step above the rest. Amazing experience.
I really appreciate them calling me a cab. It must be a high crime area because they were not welcoming at all but very suspicious. New to Vegas. I went shopping in this area that has a lot of vintage stores. It was a very hot day, no taxi around. I called but it was taking a long time. So I walked five blocks to this Hotel, at the suggestion of a bartender thinking they would have a taxi line. Got to the hotel, grabbed the door thinking, great I made it, the door was locked. Security and to get someone else to approve my entry. I told them I needed a taxi. They were going to close the door on my. I had to say, may I please come in I'm so hot and thirsty . (Vegas 110 degrees) Made me a bit sad that I was not welcomed, no offer of water, I know now what IT feels like, but again happy they called a taxi for me as I made sure to sit in the corner. And back to the Venetian I went.
I had high hopes for the pool at The English Hotel, but it fell short. For $50, you get:
- A non-reserved chair
- Towels
- A glass of sparkling wine
The servers were attentive and brought samples which led us to order a full meal. However, the meal options were limited to a turkey sandwich, burger, and fried tacos. The biggest issue was the lack of shade; all outdoor furniture is black, making it extremely hot. The "cabanas" are basic Coleman pop-up tents. Overall, it was uncomfortable and not worth a return visit. Small upgrades could improve the experience, but with so many options in Vegas, this one can be skipped.
Classy luxury boutique hotel adjacent to the Arts District. Love the rooms, gorgeous and stylish bar/restaurant. Expensive, but appropriately. If they want more pool usage, get some umbrellas and don't fry guests on the chaise lounges.
