We had a nice stay in a home built in 1836. The house and rooms were immaculately clean. The owners James and Liz welcomed us, were available as needed, and very personable. The history of the home was interesting. They are continuously working on renovations and updates to the home while working and raising their kids.
This was an amazing trip to Vermont. I was looking to get away and find myself (like we haven’t heard that before), but honestly I did. I tried things I was afraid of and found solace in my own company. I met some lovely people who all added joy to my vacation each in their own way. Innkeepers Liz and James graciously shared their home with me, made me feel like my stay was important to them and always made sure I was comfortable. I would definitely stay at this lovely bed and breakfast again. Highly recommend to anyone looking to find appreciation in what’s right in front of you! I hope to be back soon!
The room was spotless. But all I asked was to have a sandwich on the front porch, something I have done with other B&Bs. Owners wife told me to come back at 3pm. Never felt welcome, even though it was a one night stay. No one said a word except when I left. The owners are clearly new at being innkeepers. No seat in the shower and hand rails in order to get up the stairs, in other words, not friendly to those with mobility issues. I did have a good nights rest, which is what I wanted.
My husband and myself had such a wonderful time in your home. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer “house guest” in the room next to us. Many, many years ago I used to live in Jacksonville/Whitingham. I remember this house! Liz, James and the kids are great people. I would definitely love to come back in the spring.

Cute vintage B&B in the heart of rural southern Vermont. The innkeepers are very nice and attentive, the rooms well appointed, very clean, and comfortable bed. Breakfast on the front porch was a great way to start the day. Would definitely recommend this inn for a short stay, and we hope to visit again in future. Good access to areas in Vermont as well as western Massachusetts, Berkshires, southwestern New Hampshire, etc.
Wonderful place to stay! We adventured out to the surrounding towns and enjoyed our time there. It was hard to go back to the daily grind. The stream across the street was the perfect soothing background sounds to enjoy a cup of coffee on their front porch. The owners were available if needed and offered great suggestions of things to do, see and where to eat nearby. We would definitely stay again!
Absolutely amazing place! From the check in, to the room, to the entire b&B, not a single detail was missed. The home was very welcoming, the bed so comfy, and Liz & James were amazing. We ventured out and found some great local shops and the fall foliage was beautiful. Will definitely be back!
First time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and it was perfect! Right across from a small river and close to lots of walking trails, mount snow, and beautiful scenery. It’s an absolutely beautiful house and an amazing family that runs it! Will definitely be back for more trips!
