We just moved to the Blackfoot, ID area a few months ago from Ontario Canada. We joined the gym 5 months ago, and we go at least weekly and LOVE it. The team here works HARD at keeping the routes fresh and challenging no matter your skill level. The gym is always clean, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. WE LOVE THE EDGE CLIMBING AND FITNESS
Not very many introductory climbs (V1 & V0s). Top rope required the knowledge of using a gri-gri which not everyone can afford when transition to another gym or outside. Belay equipment was tied in and didn't seem to be transitioned or rotated around. No backup knots on any figure eights. Anchors at the top for lead were not opposing. All round bad practices and not inviting for novices, safety needs to be taught, not taken out of your hands. Would not recommend.
Great place for the kids to burn off some energy! From complete young novice climbers to expert level, this place has a place for everyone. It was great to be able to let the 5 year old climb in his own space while the teenagers stayed busy challenging themselves. Very clean, well maintained and well staffed! We'll be back!
These guys are great. I took some house guest who are inexperienced and they set us up and gave us instruction until we were comfortable. The kids had a great time. What a great way to keep visiting kids entertained.
Well equipped climbing gym, and very friendly staff. Only complaint is the bouldering pads are noticeably stiff. Like, it's fine, but everyone I was with agreed the pads were stiffer than any other gym we'd been to. Doesn't help that also generally there are pretty few "downclimb" holds. Gyms are supposed to make you soft!
Cool gym. Great routes. It's good to bring a buddy with to help on the belaying routes. Boulder routes Good too.
I took an 8 yr old. The staff was very friendly and informative. Taught us what to do and let us loose. The kids room with the slide and hidden entry to the tree house was fun. The ropes were intimidating to an 8 yr old to begin with but after and hour he was ready to take on just about anything.
Great place for beginners as well as avid climbers. They have something for every level. Great for date nights, parties, workouts, and more.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - 5 Car Pile Up with hash browns was good. Most of the flavor came from the gravy with the potatoes fairly bland and the country fried steak fairly salty. The egg was already popped when it arrived at our table :( Idaho Omelet

So good! The "white top" pizza was fantastic. They are a little more expensive. But had such a good variety of pizzas. The blood orange lemonade was delicious. Nice to have something different.
