Loved this place! I don’t even like fried chicken, but I would go here again hands down! Their chicken was so lightly breaded, so crispy, and not too greasy. It was DELICIOUS. Our server was very nice and gave us a full breakdown of the menu and recommendations upon us telling him we’d never been there before. We would also highly recommend the cornbread and the succotash. Our 7 month old daughter also liked the cornbread! The Mac and cheese was a bit on the salty side, but still pretty good. The sides in general are great portions and definitely shareable.
We came in on the recommendation of a friend while in town on business. Mike with the ‘naughty’ ponytail was an excellent server, even if a hard nut to crack at first. The chicken, the Mac & Cheese and the Green Beans were all top notch. The Maple Old Fashioned was AMAZING! Should I wander back to Louisville, I would definitely come back.
Stopped by to try a near place when driving through. Overall, good experience. Atmosphere is unique and fun. Half of the beer taps were out. Small menu but really great food choices. The Mac and cheese was fantastic and the fried chicken sandwich was awesome.i ordered a large salad and it was 95% greens and then a few toppings … this is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.
Went there yesterday for the first time. It was an overall great experience. Some of the best fried chicken in Louisville. The drinks were also pretty good. I tried the fried chicken sandwich, and I will definitely be back for it. A shout out also for our server, Teddy, who knows the menu and helped us navigate it.
One of the best meals we had while visiting Louisville KY. From the adult drinks to the meal service was spot on. Great flavors on the half chicken and the chicken BLT sandwich. Old fashion and spicy margaritas.
What a great restaurant with a beautiful design and delicious food! Our server Mike with the gnarly ponytail was very attentive and provided great recommendations. He even brought me extra aioli to bring home with my leftovers. Our table started with pickled green beans and a round of beer. Solid beer selection. The green beans were super tart and a bit spicy. I loved them. We ordered half a fried chicken which two people shared. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was really good. Chicken breast was lightly breaded, slaw creamy and tangy and the bread soft yet butter toasted. For sides we had fries, Mac and cheese and grits. Mac and cheese had a really nice cheese flavor, not fake cheese like most places. Grits were served nice and hot with a nice depth of flavor. French fries were good not great. Overall a great experience!
We were in town for a concert and we always like to try out new places. This was a super cute place. The food was on point, and the waiter-Mike- was excellent!! The chicken was off the chain! The sides are made for sharing- we had fries, Mac n cheese, and sweet potato casserole. We also had biscuits which the kids ate up!! Definitely worth the stop!!
Really good, Kentucky Fried Chicken. The sodes were also very good as well. I really liked the sweet potato crock, perfect balance overall. The one little drawback was that I wish the food was hotter. The spoonbread came out lukewarm with the butter on top, and the mash was also lukewarm. The chicken itself was warm, but the skin wasn't crispy. Overall, the taste of everything was good, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.
