Very nice place. Beautiful beach. Great bars. Not very friendly to disabled people. It’s a challenge to use elevators if you are in a wheelchair. There was nobody to help with the suitcases. There was no one to assist a person in a wheelchair to get down the stairs. Bathroom sliding door is very hard to move.
It was a spectacular stay. Best overall staff I have experienced and I have had many experiences in resorts. They are honest and really take a lot of pride in making a customer satisfied. The team at the beach also did a great job in 100 degrees. My stay was fantastic. I am looking forward to my return
My friend and I went here for the day. Beautiful hotel and awesome location - right on the beach. We had lunch at Society Table; the food and drinks were delicious!
Also if you are not a hotel guest and you park at The Don Cesar just know it is $35 an hour to park, not $35 for the day!
The pink palace on the beach doesn’t disappoint. I stayed there more than 30 years ago when I graduated from high school and wondered if it would live up to those special memories. It did and then some. It is pretty special to stay some place with such a sense of history, perfectly nestled on powder white sand. But, what makes the Don so special is the people working there. From check-in to the incredible team working the beach on a very busy Labor Day weekend (thank you Paul, Mac, Quinn, and Trace), to the upbeat and positive group serving up breakfast at Society, everyone had a terrific, guest-focused attitude.
We celebrated a birthday weekend here, booked for 3 days. Staff and services were excellent. We went in with the understanding that this would be expensive and likely not worth its cost. It definitely was not, but the novelty of staying at such a historical and beautiful resort makes up for it.
What was really not okay was the absolute chaos in the pool. We could not enjoy ourselves in the pool over the whole weekend because people were letting their kids treat both pools as full-on playgrounds. We got splashed in the face twice, and had my drink ruined once while I was trying to relax in the pool.
The Don should highly consider creating an adults only section of the pool area. If I’m paying what I’m paying, I should be able to enjoy my time there without someone else’s kids being in my face.
We also paid for parking over the weekend and had one instance where there was not a single parking spot available for our car… we had to wait about 45 minutes for a spot. That is unacceptable.
Love the food, atmosphere, and the hospitality! This time of year has been perfect! Not packed! No one is fighting for a chair on the beach or by the pool! The food is excellent, ice cream is superb, and I love the old Florida vibe you get when you stay!
Everything about this stunning resort was first rate. The Hotel is beautiful, majestic, spotless, and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, the beach, the spa, and had a marvelous meal at the Society table, truly one of the best dinners I ever had. The service was spot on through out the resort. Everyone was helpful and very accommodating. We look forward to going back.
First off, you’re paying $500 (really $570 because resort fee daily is $40 and self parking is $28 a day) a night for a 200 square foot room. The bathrooms are small, the toilet paper is to your back left so using the bathroom is uncomfortable. The AC does not work effectively. The room never got below 72 degrees in both day time and night time. Bell hops, bar tenders, and waitresses were amazing and the customer service on that end was great. Food options on property are limited. Your choices are between a $22 dollar burger or a $49 steak. Their “amenities” aren’t really free because they’re available for 30 minute slots only. So by the time you take out the kayak rental it’s time to bring it back. It is nice the you get 3 beach chairs and an umbrella for the beach per room. The ice cream shop is amazing. Room service and maids were super nice and made an effort to say hi to you every time they walk by. Overall, i won’t be coming back. There are multiple hotels within a mile with similar amenities, larger rooms, and for half the price. Don Cesar, have a good one.
Perfectly embodies an Old Florida feel. Sweet and intimate beachfront and gorgeous small town vibe. Walking the little shops was a treat. If youâre tired of congested beaches and want something more cozy and sincere, the is the place to look.
This was our first time at The Coconut Inn and we loved everything about it.
We wanted an old town low key beach vibe where we could walk or bike to the beach, bars, restaurants and to hear music.
The Owner of the Inn, Maggie was so nice and accommo
We were here to catch (obviously) the sunset. Although it was a cloudy evening we enjoyed the beach. Lots of room to setup an umbrella and chairs, or rent them. Also beach volleyball courts are available to the public. There are restaurants there as
Wonderful, quiet, great place to stay. Met wonderful people who come back year after year. Price was excellent. Had a kitchen with all you might need. Furnished nicely. Will come back next time in St. Pete's Beach!
Love this place. We have rented unit 508 multiple years in a row and love the pool area and view of the bay. The beach is a small trek across the street but that's fine because there are crosswalks and the unit we stay in has a beach wagon for chairs
I went at sundown on a relatively colder day (~55F), and the beach was great! Super fine, white sand and no seaweed or debris once you get past the beachhead/parking lot area. The parking lot is just a stones throw away from the whole beach. Not much
A beautiful local St Pete Beach park right on Boca Ciega Bay. They often have live music and movie events to enjoy. You can bring your own food and drink or support the local firefighters by buying the inexpensive food and beverages at the events. Fa
