The Dogwood - Restaurant in Blue Ridge - 520 W Main St, USA

We tried to book a dinner reservation last minute for our last night in town and couldn’t get anything. We stopped in here and the food was excellent. Simple menu but very good. The inside is small, but they have a back patio with winter drop downs and heaters. We were very comfortable. The service was excellent and the manager stopped by to check on us. Would definitely eat her again if in town.

Food looked good but I wouldn’t know. I stood at the waitress stand for 10 min and nobody said a word. When I finally asked if we seat ourselves, the woman said you go to the bar to order and then find a seat. Customers that have been there before came in walked right by us to order at the bar. So now we are 10 people behind people who came in after us. That’s a nice 45 min wait for breakfast. Get a better system. I may try it again someday but for now I’ll eat somewhere else. Just bad service once again.

Everything about this place was great on the first visit. Of course we were the first ones in the door. The second visit I was the last person. The manager asked if we could substitute a brioche bun for my breakfast sandwich and I agreed. I could have been upset or complained or even given a terrible review. I didn’t because I’ve been there. I’ve had to make those difficult rounds as a manager to explain the restaurant’s situation. Overall I was still pleased because the food was good. Truth be told I couldn’t possibly be upset. I chose to stand in line knowing the restaurant was 20 minutes from close and we were at least 20 minutes to place an order at the bar. The manager was polite and even gave us a wonderful pastry and side of tater tots. Coffee was good and I had a wonderful conversation with my friend while we waited for our food. I’ll be back because I do want another biscuit. Lol. Those things are sinfully delicious.

We went two days in a row. The first day, just a round of drinks. Loved the laid back feel. The second day we shared apps and enjoyed their ribs, burgers, and shrimp boil. The staff was so friendly. Everything tasted amazing. Great cocktails and beer! We will be back when we visit the area again.

Even in the cold, the outside seating is fantastic. The coffee is wonderful and the food was delicious! I was able to read a book at the high top 2 seater and my husband enjoyed the scenery. We will be back when we are in town visiting again.

Sarah was the best! She was extremely attentive to our table even while being obliviously short on people and extremely busy! Drinks are delicious! Definitely try the Blue Ridge Bramble if you stop in!

Mostly outdoor seating, and it was very cold. They had heaters but they weren’t working. Good location in downtown blue ridge. The service was mediocre. They had “updated “ their menu, so it is not what is listed here. They were out of half of their “limited”menu so very few options. It took a long time to get our food and staff kept going outside in groups while we waited.

Boy oh boy, this is a great place to eat. Me and my family went in expecting dinner, but it exceeded all of my expectations. Sarah was our server and she was exceptional. She made sure all of our orders were right and kept our refills coming. I will be back again!!!!
