The Dinosaur Place - Theme park in Oakdale - 1650 Hartford-New London Turnpike, USA

Took my (almost) 6 year old granddaughter. She had a lot of fun. I thought there would be more age appropriate stuff to learn about dinosaurs, but for her, it was all about the splash pad, maze, and playgrounds. She also loved the erupting volcano. Lots of fun for a hot afternoon! (Plus there's free parking)

Had a blast with my 20 month old and almost 7 year old! They loved walking around to see all the dinosaurs. The maze was fun along with the slides, and the splash pad was a HUGE hit. It's really clean and big. They also have a food area located next to the splash pad/giant playground, so you can order the basic grill stuff like cheese burgers, fries, dino nuggets, and other things. Would highly recommend for a fun, full day family adventure! Also, you must bring everything in with you since there is no reentry! So bring a backpack and a wagon/stroller to carry everything you need!

The kids had so much fun here. The splash pad was a big hit, they didn't want to leave! The dinosaur path was great. We did that first so they could cool off after the walk. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is there were only 2 people working, and they had to sell tickets, and do the ice cream counter, so the ice cream took awhile after we ordered it. But it was a fun day!

A wonderful experience! We wanted to visit the Dinosaur State Park while we were in the area, but it was closed. So glad we found this as a back up! We thoroughly enjoyed the play tower, playground, and splash pad. We had a blast finding all the dinosaurs and would like to see more What Is It boxes.

They do a good job. A nice walk through a spooky forest starts the adventure then ends in a play area with inflatables, games, food, and smores. The walk along the river is great with lights, pumpkins, all things halloween and of course dinos. It's not too long that the youngest walkers can't do it, but has little inlets that it will keep older kids looking at all the little things to see. All in all, a good time and the staff was great.

what a blast! we had a fantastic time wandering the grounds. plenty of fun interacting with the dinosaurs and mystery fact boxes. wish the gift shop were bigger, but had a great time!

Very expensive compared to what there's actually to do. We mostly just walked around and my son played in the playground area. Food and other activities were closed. Probably best to come in the summer when it's fully running.

One of the best attractions I've been to in Connecticut for young children. So much to see and do. Plan to spend the day. Giant playground as well as a splash pad. Maze and exploding volcano. Plus over 60 giant dinosaurs!!
