The Diamond Restaurant - Chinese restaurant in Perth Amboy - 446 Amboy Ave, USA

Ordered deliver via DoorDash. The food was delivered in a timely manner. We ordered the wonton soup, general Tso chicken and boneless spare ribs. The sauce used on the General Tso chicken is very good. However, after biting in I noticed the chicken had a foul smell. This tells me they do not do a very good job cleaning the chicken - please start washing your meat with vinegar and lime. If you don’t do you due diligence to properly prepare your food - you will get customers sick. I wasted my money because I am not eating meat that smells foul - that is a recipe for a bad stomach ache. This food is going j to the trash.

First time ordering from diamond. Wanted chinese and most places are closed in Sundays. Dumplings were very tasty and not overly doughy like some other places, they had a nice wrapper and meat was flavorful, also liked the dipping sauce most other places it is overly sweet. Fried Waltons were nice and crispy as if they just changed the oil, not greasey at all. Boneless ribs were tender only complaint was they could have used a little more sauce. Szechuan chicken was nice snd flavorful and shrimp lomein was good and not oily. Will definitely order again

I've always loved eating at Diamond. Its a takeout spot. I've had them sporadically over the past 10 years and its just as good as it always was if not better. I favor fried rice 🍚 😋

I order delivery and asked for general tso chicken with pork fried rice the lady ask me if I wanted the diner special or the a large order I said a large order obv still speaking about the same dish with the same RICE they bring my food they don’t have the right rice they give me white rice okay no problem I call back and they place me with the manager and according to his “playback” I did not say I wanted pork fried rice but then told me the lady ask for pork fried rice with general tso chicken for the dinner combo and the large order did not bring pork fried rice that I was supposed to tell her I wanted pork fried rice when she made the order large when is pretty obv I did not even mention white rice to her just bad customer service all could’ve been prevented by sending me my rice even if it was charged to me.

Food is usually good. Today the rice was hard and the egg rolls and scallops were mushy. Oh and they forgot the hot mustard, but that always happens. May need to switch restaurants

Most terrible service rude young lady at front laughing and smiling while taking over 30 minutes for my food and jokes with employees when I ask how much longer, i get it delivered since I had to leave and when I get the food and it’s missing items and all disoriented with smelly food never ordering again

Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. They definitely stand apart from others in the area with their flavorful seasoning. Honestly haven't had good Chinese food in this area until now. So happy with my order, plus my kids love it. Can't show pics of my food, cause it was that good 😆😝🤗. Thank you for your promptness and quality 💚 Definitely reordering
