The Del Monte Lodge Renaissance Rochester Hotel & Spa - Featured Reviews (609)
This was a recommendation from a friend who lives locally. The staff is welcoming and friendly, our room was well appointed and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Erie Grill. Hanna, our server, was accommodating and we enjoyed the views of the canal right behind us.||There is a complimentary shuttle we will certainly look to utilize in the future as our son begins his time as a student-athlete at Fisher. It works within a 10 mile radius which includes the airport.||Easily walk able area with lots of restaurants and shops. Would recommend choosing a room not in the back of the building as the railroad goes through there and we'd also opt for the second or third floor since we had a young family sitting outside our window in the morning making a bit of noise. ||Bravo, we'll be back Family Weekend!
We have stayed at the Del Monte Lodge for years when we are in Upstate NY visiting family and friends. We have been coming since the pool was still there and the decor hadn’t been updated to its present state…a very long time. While many aspects of our stay were pleasant, we were really dismayed by the lack of friendliness, even acknowledgement by the front desk staff. As Titanium Marriott members, we are used to being greeted warmly by the front desk staff. During our visit this time, not once we greeted by any staff member - front desk or the concierge staff. We arrived at all hours of the day and evening and each and every single time the staff either had their head buried in their computer or were talking to each other. On a positive note, the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us as did the housekeeping staff. Thank you for reaching out to us and hopefully in the future the front desk will improve.
This was a very nice property, with a fabulous restaurant and spa on the premises. We stayed two nights while visiting the Rochester area. Lodge has beautiful conference rooms, community spaces, really lovely place. Would love to go back again.
We stayed here for a staycation night and had a great stay. It is located right across from Schoen Place, which has breweries, restaurants and shopping within walking distance.|We were able to check in before 3 pm, which allowed us to start our adventure early. The rooms are compact but well laid out. We were also offered bottles of water at check in, which we happily accepted.|The chaise lounge in our room was actually very comfortable. Figuring out the lighting took a little time, but we did. |We had a king bed that had some of the best pillows we've ever had at a hotel. Maybe a little too good!|Water pressure in the shower was excellent, and I actually had to adjust the temperature down because I was shocked at how hot it got (which is a good thing!). |The hotel is right next to a train track, but we only heard it in the morning. |Our room had a mini fridge and a coffee machine. My husband also really enjoyed the fragrance of the Aveda toiletries provided. |We loved our stay and hope to return in the future for another staycation!
I stay here regularly because it’s in one of the nicest neighborhoods in the Rochester area. Very nice staff. Good service. Pretty village. Restaurant is ok if a little overpriced for what it is. AC/heat is very loud in the rooms - the loudest I’ve heard, anywhere, ever. Rooms have 8 lights yet are too dimly lit to get ready in the morning. Windows are cheap so it’s uncomfortably cold to sit at the desk in winter. The ground floors rooms always have cold floors. For the best experience bring earplugs, warm socks, and a flashlight, and request a room on one of the upper floors.
Air Con Units are clunky and loud, The room I was in didn't have a central/ ceiling light... Other than that the rooms are well tidy and clean with a nice vibe, slippers towels coffee etc being provided to guests with day to day cleaning as standard. The staff are always smiling and really helpful, amenities are top notch as well, Good place to stay in minding the minor annoyances but it's location(canal) and spa + of course the Dairy across the road make it well worth it.
This property is all about location, right on the canal. Rooms are fine, nothing special. No pool or hot tub. Spa services quite expensive. Restaurant at hotel served an excellent breakfast.
This is a clean and upscale hotel. The rooms were new and I was especially happy to find slippers provided. The only knock against it is the loud HVAC system, which others have mentioned. The location is also within walking distance of Fattoush and Pittsford Farms Dairy, both of which I highly recommend visiting, for dinner and dessert, respectively. I was a secondary guest on the reservation but my Platinum status was still recognized and we were given complimentary breakfast. This was much appreciated. Overall, a great stay in the Rochester area.

Always a great time at Via Girasole!! The staff know the wines they serve and always recommend the perfect ones. Also, the beer list is better than many bars around here in Pittsford. And of course, the musicians they bring in are awesome. Tonigh
From Buffalo. Our son is in camp so we had a mini vacation nearby. Thirstyâs has a great beer beer list. Weâre IPA people. The outdoor patio is awesome. The staff is supper friendly. The owner, aka chip & pickle guy, is a great guy. Thanks
Stopped at Kraeg rd park today. Very nice park. It is very convenient to I-490 or I-90. So, if you're traveling with kids and need a place to rest, stretch and play, this is great. There are bathrooms-- mens and womens. There is sun and shade. Pavili
Great place for birthday parties. Enough place for kids to play around. I have seen two lodges and in south lodge there are around 7 tables and a great kitchen with sink, fridge, oven and trash can. Two restrooms accessible only when we book the lodg
Delicious food in a nice homey atmosphere. Server was fantastic and knowledgeable about the dishes that encouraged my emotions and palate to choose my meal. Gyro platter was better than expected and I enjoyed every bite including the grill warmed pit
Lunch date outside and it was perfect! It's always super busy here - not many people eat outside and we got seated right away. Annabelle was our server, she was fantastic and on point. She recommended some of her fave lunch dishes and I was happy wit
