We booked the deacon for a weekend and as our wedding venue last month and we could not have been happier with our choice. The building is gorgeous with so many beautiful details, the stained glass windows all of it is stunning. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The staff is incredibly helpful and offer a lot included in your stay like furniture, some glassware and linens. It was such a special and intimate location and it will always be one of my favorite places from here on. A special shout out to Val, Elise and Sarah. Thank you!!!

The Deacon was the perfect location to facilitate a leadership retreat for my organization! What a beautiful space conducive to gathering, bonding, and learning. Outstanding, safe location just a short distance from Rittenhouse Square. I would highly recommend the Deacon for organizational planning and team building!

This venue is incredible. Gorgeous, thoughtful touches throughout the space, and working with them was a breeze. They were so friendly and helpful and made my wedding day a breeze. Would recommend to ANYONE!!

We rented The Deacon for a weekend for our wedding in December 2022. The space is unusual enough to be interesting but traditionally beautiful enough to satisfy guests looking for something familiar. Having the wedding where we stayed made everything easier; at the end of a happy tired night, we just walked over into our room and closed the door. The many included furnishings drastically reduced the number of things we had to buy or rent or, maybe more importantly, think about buying or renting; Val was great at communicating about availability of these things in advance. And the on-site helpers, especially Elise, did a great job handling vendors and logistics the day of the event — to keep it brief, they were warm, calm, and competent, and they just handled a lot of stuff well. Looking back six months later, our primary feeling is a kind of wonder that it all pretty much went perfectly. The Deacon was a big part of that.

Lovely space for a learning event for about 30 people. Didn't stay overnight but rooms looked very clean and comfortable. Main area was lovely and very modern. Comfortable sitting areas and great kitchen!

We just had our wedding here and I cannot say enough positive things about the space and staff here! The location is gorgeous and all of our guests were talking about how unique and beautiful it was. Truly a one of a kind space and it has everything you need for a great stay! The service from the staff was even better than the space. Throughout the planning process and during the actual wedding Elise and the team at The Deacon were so clam, attentive, and sweet. They really made everything easy and went above and beyond to check in with me on a regular basis to make sure I had everything I needed. Couldn't say enough positive things about this space!!

Attended a wedding at the Deacon. This is a beautiful facility. It was a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception in a beautiful location. The entire day was wonderful. I hope to visit or have an event myself at this location.

We had our two day wedding at the Deacon and it was an amazing experience! Elise was easy and lovely to work with, and our guests were awed with the space! We hardly needed any decor because the venue is so nice on its own. It was a fun bonus to be able to spend the night and offer the bedrooms to any friends who partied too hard and needed to crash. We absolutely recommend the Deacon for events, and hope to be able to come back someday.
