The Davis Square Inn - Featured Reviews (34)
Davis Square Inn was perfect for our recent weekend visit. Comfortable room and breakfast, lovely inn, accommodating hosts, convenient off-street parking. Loved the cat. The location is an easy walk to Davis Square (and to our son's home). We found that several other guests were also in town to visit family. Highly recommend - we'll be back.
I stayed in the smallest room, on the third floor, and had a very pleasant stay. The hosts accommodated my arrival time and I was able to enjoy a slice of a delicious homebaked holiday bread, left over from breakfast, upon my arrival. Tea and coffee are always accessible and I appreciated the thought the hosts put into having everything a traveler might need available, from forgotten toiletries to office supplies and a printer. My room was small, but certainly sufficient space for a one night stay. I appreciated having a refrigerator and water in my room (and I like how the hotel is trying to reduce plastic waste). Everything was very clean and comfortable and the location, just minutes walk from the Davis T station, was very convenient. The only thing that would make a very nice stay better would be a more comfortable reading chair in the common room or larger pillows for reading in bed.
Very nice B&B well situated two minutes' walking time from Davis Square's multitude of shops & restaurants. The Somerville Community path right around the corner - a walking, running and biking path that connects to a huge and extensive network of off-road trails in the greater Boston area.
The B&B is cozy and well appointed. The room we stayed in - the Walnut Hill Room - was comfortable and had its own climate control provided by a mini-split heat pump/AC unit. The shower was one of the best I've seen in recent years. Breakfast was self-serve and adequate - Continental Plus.
and of, there was Kaetzle 🐈
I have stayed here three times and I’ve loved each experience. My go-to when visiting Boston. Comfy with all manner of thoughtful amenities. And a cat!
Terrific bed and breakfast. Cosy, central location to Davis Square T or Tufts, and an attentive innkeeper with ample breakfast provisions. Freshly, homemade banana walnut bread was a nice delight as was the wild flower garden. Parking was free and we felt we got extremely good value for the money. The amenities of a hotel but the charm of home including an antique claw bathtub and a resident cat.
For many years, we traveled several times a month, but the pandemic shut that down. The Davis Square Inn was one of the few hotels we have stayed in in the past 2.5 years and was by far the best! The house, the rooms and the grounds are all beautiful. The owners are thoughtful and very careful about covid. The breakfast was good (especially the different home baked treats each day). There is parking (a big plus for Somerville!) and it is easy walking distance to Davis Square. For the Boston area the price is quite reasonable. We will return!
very comfortable, obviously convenient. several rooms in a large completely renovated Davis square house. whoever runs this bed and breakfast is a genius! they seemingly thought about every single object and finish in the whole place. it's perfect. tables are not too big not too small. everything is really attractive and functional. the downstairs living room and kitchen are a great asset. you get your own individual French press lots of coffee fresh fruit salad etc etc. I stayed in a tiny room upstairs and though it was tiny it was plenty comfortable it had everything. the bathroom which was right there had an amazing shower. it was huge, modern, and the tiles followed the peaked roof line! the mother of the proprietors is very charming. highly recommended place to stay.
Excellent B & B in Somerville. There are not hotels in Davis Square so this is perfect. Rooms are comfortable (I've stayed here twice) and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. I was traveling alone and felt very safe and comfortable. About a 5 minute walk to Davis Square with many restaurant options and T station. I arrived early so cleaning staff were very considerate and cleaned my room first and came and got me when it was ready. Beautiful garden on the side. Other guest were polite and friendly.
Amazing! I went here with my friend to pick up an assortment of baked goods. The space is small but we got there early Saturday morning and the line wasn't bad at all (and it moved pretty fast). The atmosphere was nice and warm, it smelled SO good in
Checked out Yego Coffee because I was in the area and have been enjoying cafe-hopping lately. There is plenty of street parking, and the inside is bright with high ceilings and a few tables. There were a few people on a Friday morning. Service was fr
