The Darlington Inn & Cottages - Motel in Myrtle Beach - 203 N Ocean Blvd, USA

We are so glad that we stayed at the Darlington Inn. I love to support family-owned businesses, and this did not disappoint. We were able to stay with our dog which was a plus! the rooms were immaculate, and the beds were comfortable. Although the room had a full kitchenette, we barely used it, however, it was nice and came with stocked utensils and all the appliances were in good working condition. The sounds from outside can be a nuisance, but NOT deal breaker. The owners were friendly, and the pool was clean. The view - for the price was amazing!!! We loved that they could accommodate our reservation and check us in early. We will stay in the future.

My little boy and I loved it here. Never felt unsafe, rooms and outside are really nice. We loved the pool and all the pretty plants everywhere. Fast and safe walk to the beach access, also plenty shops and restaurants close by to walk to. Wifi worked great in our room (204) and out by the pool. All employees were very kind and helpful.

Do yourself a favor and book here!! All the great reviews about the owner, staff, location, cleanliness, etc are true!! It was really nice to be able to visit the beach and still have access to your room/bathroom. My bed was so cozy that I had to force myself to go to the beach! There is no elevator, however the stairs are wide and not steep so it is very easy to get up and down if you decide to stay on a higher floor. The view is so worth it. I was a guest last weekend and I enjoyed my room so much that I booked it for this upcoming weekend as well!! The Darlington is truly a gem!!

We are still here, but I thought I’d write something now because I feel that WOW factor. The location of this cute little place is perfect. It’s steps away from the boardwalk and beach. It was storming but we were happy as clams being in this motel. We didn’t pay a whole lot but we got the beachfront view. We brought our dog and that was the best idea, she is loving this. It is a fairly dog friendly beach for being in season. The hotel gave us complimentary poop bags and treats. The staff here is so personable!! They ensure you have everything you need and ask twice just to reinforce that you’re comfortable. We will be back.

We love the place! We will definitely be back. You can see the ocean from your bed. The space is comfortable and big enough for two people. Additionally the room was very clean, the kitchen had all the basic tools including toaster, coffee maker, pans, utensils, microwave and oven. The towels were soft and they left extra towels and soap for our 5 day stay. The staff was also friendly and although there is no housekeeping everyday, if you need something you can ask them. CONS: the only thing they should change is the bed that was too soft for us.

I can’t love this place enough. It’s not a 20 story resort over looking the ocean, but it’s the coziest, perfect little getaway spot you could choose. My husband, sister, brother in law and 2 nieces and nephew booked 2 rooms side by side for a weekend getaway. We drove in the middle of the night from WV and got to the beach at 8am. Check in was at 4 which we knew and were ready for. We got the call at 12:30pm that our rooms would be ready at 1. The hotel staff and owners are the friendliest people. The rooms were clean and the perfect temperature. While the hotel does not sit on the beach, it’s still ocean front because all rooms face the ocean and there is nothing across the street blocking the view from the hotel to the beach. They do have pet friendly rooms available, and it was nice to see families coming and going with their furbabies. The pool was relaxing in the evening after a hot day on the beach. 10/10 recommend and will staying again! Next year we plan on booking one of their beautiful cottages!

Amazing location friendly people, it is a cottage. This place is great and I would go again. We got a phone call telling us our cottage was ready early afternoon, which was a nice surprise. It was clean! Literally across the street from the beach and walking distance from the walk board and restaurants. The kitchen had basic dishes in there to keep us going for breakfast and lunch we brought with us, had a bbq if we wanted to cook and a washer and dryer which we would have used if we stayed longer. The reason I did not chose 5 stars were due to the shower that was very low, due to it being an older building, the tall people in the family were not comfortable. Also the AC units, worked very well (thank goodness) however they were window units which were loud in the bedroom. I would take the noise over them not working any day! However some family members found it challenging to sleep through it. |Overall a great experience and I would stay again .

Just book it!! You feel right at home as soon as you pull in. My room was perfect & had everything I could possibly need. Pool & location were on point. Lady in the front office was very friendly! This will definitely be my go to hotel if I decide to return to Myrtle.
