I enjoy coming to the Dam Cafe. It is a great atmosphere to get a nice breakfast and get some work done on my laptop. It is busy but never overcrowded. The breakfast options don’t always look appealing but they do taste great! I have unfortunately not tried the bakery options, but those who have ensure they are worth it! It is not too pricey and you feel like you get what you pay for.
Definitely a gem in holyoke! iced coffee’s are superb! The food is served in pretty big servings so if you are a light eater (like me) might want to stick with bagel or croissant sandwiches. Pretty big inside and it also has outdoor seating. Staff is very nice and knowledgeable. Definitely will be back again!
Great breakfast food. The mango watermelon smoothie was SO GOOD! A flavor I never knew I needed. Service was good, everyone was attentive.
Stopped in for the first time this morning, the place has a nice vibe, food was ok. We ordered pancakes and received the wrong order, they fixed it pretty quickly. They seemed short staffed or it felt like that anyways. Oddly enough we went there because Denny's was very short staffed and the place was empty and we had to wait 30 minutes. So we were hoping that the Dam Cafe was going to be our new go to, but unlikely.
Came here on a whim due to being in the area. I was told about it. Glad i went. Went for breakfast AND lunch in the same day. Had the breakfast burrito for breakfast, which was great, and then a special for lunch, which was a chicken parm cutlet with fries. Easy to get to. Off street and a parking lot. Very friendly service. It looked like there were regulars, workers new some names and orders of the people that were there in the morning. Speaks to the diligence of the workers and the comforting atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Did not get to try the sweets, but ill be passing through in a couple weeks and plan on making the stop.
Typical cafe...asked for hot water to make my own tea after purchasing multiple other items, and only after sitting back down did the manager (who watched the exchange at the register) come over and tell me I had to either pay the menu price for tea or leave. I understand not wanting an outside product, i just wish I'd been told at the register so I could have avoided the issue and enjoyed with the products I'd already purchased instead of being told to leave or pay $4 for hot water. There are plenty of other cafe's with managers who don't go out of their way to turn small misunderstandings into making customers feel unwelcomed.
No table service, no menus, got wrong order. Server took out ketchup without asking and have it to another table! Homefries were big enough to cut with a knife and dry. I want them bite size. Not going back even tho I can walk there.
The food was good, the service was great, the restaurant was comfortable. The Reuben was better than others that I've had and I'd get it again. The fries, though fairly tasty, were limp. I think it would have been better to fry them a little, remove them from the oil, let them sit for a short time, and then finish frying them. They would be crispier that way which may enhance the eating experience. The caramel frozen drink was disappointingly mediocre--the taste was weak as if it was mildly flavored blended ice; other flavors might be more flavorful. All-in-all, I'd go back and try other menu options. They had a wide array of oversized desserts that were very appealing to the eye. I should have taken a picture--I've never seen a muffin or a cookie that big. The pan of very large cuts of brownies was almost too tempting, but I needed to pass on dessert. Every staff member that I encountered was great. Zero complaints about the employees. When we placed our order, we were given a brontosaurus to place on the table instead of a numbered marker. I thought that was really cool and appreciated the uniqueness--bravo! The are also four tables outside under a well-shaded canopy along the front of the restaurant. On a pleasant day outside (like I had during my visit) it was very enjoyable. The inside of the restaurant had a spacious dining area that was clutter-free and easy to navigate.

Definitely a 5 star place to hike. Definitely in moderate hike with some up-and-down sleep parts. Lot of rocks scrambles in certain areas but my dog was able to make it. I didn't entirely from the alltrails app and definitely recommend it I also got
A wonderful place for a walk or run, though no dogs are allowed at Whiting. If you have a dog and want to take a walk, take the M-M hiking trail up the hill from the parking area.
My kids (boy 10, twin girls 2) love it here. The gentleman who sits in the front is always kind and helpful. There really something to do for everyone. There is so much to learn and keep the kiddos entertained. It's always clean and you can see the s
