My experience was less than satisfactory. The house was very clean and presentable. The shared bathroom was not as inconvenient as you would expect. My negative review stems from the hostess over stepping physical, spiritual and emotional boundaries. Several times our stay was interupted with things that are expected when renting out your home. If the subject was presented prior to renting the room we would have never rented the room. We felt like the hostess was inappropriate with conversations and physical contact. She did not take our verbal hints, warnings, or straightforward requests for her to stop. I would seriously think twice about staying at this home if you do not like to be physically touched, engage in religious or spiritual conversation, or talk about politics.

Step back in time, to a friendly, inviting atmosphere set in a Victorian home. Healthy delicious Breakfast served at a family gathering setting for new friends being treated like family. Sit back and enjoy. Jean truly cares about you and your needs.

Jean was wonderful. This was our 1st time staying at a B and B. My wife and I were very satisfied with our 1st experience. Rooms are spacious and clean, bathrooms are clean, quite neighborhood, friendly host, we came and went when we pleased, and no one bothered us and breakfast was served at our request. Jean is a great cook. We would definitely recommend you to stay here. Thank you Jean for being so helpful and hospitable.

I have stayed at The Dailey Renewal Retreat during the High Point furniture market and have enjoyed it every time, so much so, that I have started bringing my best friend to town to accompany and to suggest it to other industry colleagues going to Market! Jean has always been very accommodating and tentative to our needs. She had us stay in the detached apartment the last time we were in town and it was so fun to feel that you have your own space. She makes an amazing breakfast and will have it ready for you at whatever time works with your schedule. The house is charming and historic and close to fun places to eat and drink. She has been working with me through COVID since our travel had been cancelled, but I am eager to get back to see her in the fall of 2021.||||Thanks so much for everything Jean!

Well, if you are the type of traveler who appreciates vintage homes, and a traditional approach to B & B, you will love this place! The hostess is charming and welcoming and the century old house is in excellent shape, not to mention spotlessly clean. For purists, the house has all of its original doors and hardware and tile fireplace surrounds and windows..., attractive grounds and a big wrap around porch. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was fresh and healthy and delicious! The general atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, and it couldn't have been nicer, really! Recommended.

The Dailey Renewal Guest House was a converted detached garage. The photos shown on the website were different than the actual guest house, the couch was not the same and the privacy curtain over the bedroom area was not there. The couch was worn down and did not appear clean. The garage was only heated by a wall unit and a space heater and the guest house was very, very, very cold. The outside temperature dropped to 24 degrees that night and so I would not recommend ever staying here in the winter, if at all. The concrete floor, which we expected, was freezing also. The space was clean other than the couch but offered bare minimums (water in the refrigerator, sparse towels, no snacks). Very strange picture over the bed of an animal made out of nails. We wanted to depart early and asked if we could possibly have breakfast to go and were told that they did not offer those services.

I would highly recommend this place! Jean Dailey is a great innkeeper! She is a great host and very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and something different every day. A light organic breakfast to start your day! I am gluten intolerant and she graciously accommodated me. The room was very pleasant and very clean along with the bathroom. We had a good time meeting new people and even creating a new friendship while there. We will definitely stay here again when traveling through and reccomend it for anyone.

I stayed here during a power outage. The home is beautiful with very nice details and art. Everything was immaculately clean. I had a great sleep in my peaceful room. The hostess is so friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. She prepared a delicious breakfast. I thoroughly recommend this delightful bed and breakfast.
